Effects of Flat Planting Density on the Growth Characteristics and Yields of Scutellaria Baicalensis Georgi

Abstract:[Objective] The effects of flat planting density on the growth characteristics and yields of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were studied.[Method] Four treatments of planting density were adopted in the experiment,then the growth index and total biomass in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were determined.[Result] The results showed that the roots,overgrond biomass and total biomass per unit area were enhanced,but branch roots,roots and overground biomass per plant were decreased as the planting density increased;The branch roots were more in rare-planting;the rare-planting could promote the growth of shoots and roots,higher dry matter per plant,but lower yield per unit area.[Conclusion] The suitable planting density was good for the appearance quality and the higher yield per unit area.On the trial level,when the array pitch was from 25 cm to 35 cm,the yield of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi was high and the comprehensive characters was good.
