Multi-granulation Rough Set and Rough Set Model in Multi-source Information Systems

Abstract:Multi-granulation rough set is constructed on the basis of a family of the indiscernibility relations instead of only one indiscernibility relation.Rough set in multi-source information systems is constructed on the basis of a family of the information systems instead of only one information system.It is proved that the optimistic multi-granulation lower approximation is same to the weaker lower approximation in multi-source information systems;the optimistic multi-granulation upper approximation is same to the strong upper approximation in multi-source information systems;the pessimistic multi-granulation lower approximation is same to the strong lower approximation in multi-source information systems;the pessimistic multi-granulation upper approximation is same to the weaker upper approximation in multi-source information systems,from which we can conclude that the rough set in multi-source information systems is one of the forms of the multi-granulation rough set.
