Abstract:In this paper, we conduct research on MOOC and multimedia technology with applications on the contemporary literature teaching in the colleges and universities. Modern and contemporary literature teaching should be recognized is aging, rigid, not adapt to the problems of the times, including floating style of general study, should be noticed and effectively solved. Now all kinds of conferences and activities a lot, all kinds of the quantitative indicators are "forced" people use more energy to fight for topic, research, teaching duty work could instead focus on less. Different school teachers on the same subject if able to communicate more, complement each other, each other will be beneficial to promote the reform of this course. This paper proposes the novel paradigm for the basic education patter for MOOC and multimedia based literature classes that are innovative.

Abstract:Abstract Based upon meaning holism in the philosophy of language, this article discusses issues of intercultural communication and explores the philosophical basis of cultural difference, pointing out that cultural difference does have its necessity, but can be bridged through language exchange and education under the guidance of a holistic view of language. This is so because culture essentially consists of a system of beliefs that a language user has of the world, life and society. Such being the case, this article proposes an independent, systematic and specialised curriculum for the teaching of culture so as to help students enrich their system of cultural beliefs, by virtue of questioning and speculating in an effort to find the rationale for foreign culture beliefs.

Abstract:Joshua Scodel is Helen A. Regenstein Professor in English and Comparative Literature and the Chair of the Department of Comparative Literature at the University of Chicago. His publications include The English Poetic Epitaph: Commemoration and Conflict from Jonson to Wordsworth (Cornell UP, 1991) , Excess and the Mean in Early Modern English Literature (Princeton UP, 2001), and various articles on the 16th -17th century English literature and literary criticism in relation to the classical tradition. In this interview, Prof. Scodel discusses Comparative Literature as a discipline, with remarks about the goals of Comparative Literature, its relation to literary theory, the history of the discipline in the United States, the most important current developments in the field, some major past and present comparatists, and the Comparative Literature program at his home institution, the University of Chicago. The interview concludes with some reflections on Comparative Literature' s crucial role in the study of English Renaissance literature, Professor Scodel' s own major area of expertise.

Abstract:A lots of Chinese teachers in the secondary school lack broad sight to the outside even today in which the current world is becoming globalized and integrative day by day. They think foreign literature only means to make students comprehend and appreciate the text,so it is unable to undertake such an important role of literary education as the native literature does. But such an idea we know now falls behind the time and the teaching methods of foreign literature in secondary school should be improved. With applying the means of comparative teaching, we can provide students with multi-dimensional and open space for development to emphatically foster students' sense of futurity and globalization.

Abstract:Comparative literature has been where critical and theoretical interdisciplinary projects could be freely tried,with results that are exemplary for others and thus affect the direction of literary and cultural studies at large.In the current era,the first challenge for comparative literature is the necessity of a global perspective and the second one is posed by the rise of cultural studies,which is connected to the changes brought to literary studies by what we in the West have called just "theory".Comparative literature thus has become a discipline of such overwhelming scope that it no longer sounds like an academic field at all.Having in large measure made possible the expansion of literary studies into cultural studies,comparative literature might claim a new identity,as the site of literary study in its broadest dimensions — the study of literature as a transnational phenomenon.Comparative literature,as the site of the study of literature in general,would provide a home for a comparative poetics.Comparative literature needs to be transformed from a Eurocentric discipline to a more global one.

Abstract:One of the boundary points between National Literature and Comparative Literature is that the two disciplines request different aspects of the language on study.Within two languages' own inertial systems of the formation of the ideological thinking,the Comparative Literature researchers have to search the third position of mutual balance and coexistence in the fusion of the two.As a result,the third literary criticism is formed.In the orientation of international literary criticism,the third literary criticism is the comparative literary criticism which is formed on the foundation of two or more than two national literatures.From the diachronic point of view in history,there exist the conflicts and dialogues of paradigm revolution between national literature and comparative literature.These conflicts and dialogues are considerable tensed.The incommensurability does exist between them as well.Comparative literature has been offering tremendous interpretation and efforts on the concept of incommensurability between itself and other disciplines.Therefore,studies in Comparative Literature should become effective driving force of academic culture.In fact,Comparative Literature is a global and historical literary study.

Confronting the Challenge of Cultural Studies: The Future of Comparative Literature

Abstract:As we all know, cultural studies is characterized by its opposition to (elite) literary studies not only because it points to popular or non-elite literature which is usually not dealt with by literary scholars or more specifically, comparatists, but also because it severely challenges the discipline of comparative literature. But on the other hand, cultural studies complements literary studies with its significant contribution to the reconstruction of a sort of new comparative literature. What were not touched upon by traditional literary scholars are now studied by cultural studies scholars who are at the same time doing comparative studies. In this sense, we should realize that it is not cultural studies that has occupied the domain of comparative literature studies, but rather, it has expanded its traditional domain and inserted some new cultural elements. This paper illustrates how some of the representative Anglo-American comparatists are also doing cultural studies or cultural criticism while engaged in comparative literature studies. The author observes that their interdisciplinary writings have paved the way for effective dialogues between literary studies and cultural studies. Therefore, cultural studies, in deconstructing and subverting the old established discipline of Eurocentric comparative literature, has made positive impact on the reconstruction of a new discipline of comparative literature and world literature. It has also made it possible for the remapping of world literature by inserting in the canon some non-canonical oriental literary works.

Abstract:Interdisciplinary Study is a research method of comparative literature, but such comparison also has a far-ranging applied foreground for the research on Chinese classical literature. The Chinese classical idea of pan-literature, the tradition of syncretism literature, history and philosophy, and the affinity of literature and art, all these aspects provide a rather wide area for the comparison between different subjects. Thus, since the 1980s, this method developed rapidly and became the most important one among the classical literature research phenomena during that period.
