Determination of the Content of Quercetin in Fructus Polygoni Orientalis by Spectrophotometry

Abstract:ObjectiveThe Content of quercetin in Fructus Polygoni Orientalis was determined by spectrophotometry.MethodsThe detection wavelength was set at 370nm and temperature at 25℃.ResultsThe method was linear within the range of 0.004～ 0.011 9 g/L,r = 0.999 2.The average recovery of assay was 96.55% and RSD 0.78%(n = 5).ConclusionThe method appeared to be simple,highly accurate.It can be used for the determination of the content of quercetin in Fructus Polygoni Orientalis.
