Abstract:The purpose: to investigate and analyze the characteristics of ancient Chinese traditional book binding methods; explore the reasonable integration and innovative application of traditional elements in modern Chinese book design. Methodology is based on system-analytical, comparative, complex-historical methods, which made it possible to comprehensively investigate the specified problem and reach reasonable conclusions. The results. Based on the analyze of literature, a summary was made, and the traditional book-binding methods and characteristics of China in different periods were studied and analyzed. Such as bamboo and wooden strip books, scroll bookbinding, whirlwind bookbinding, accordion fold bookbinding, butterfly fold bookbinding, wrap back book binding, and thread-bound books. On this basis, the influence of traditional bookbinding on modern book design is analyzed, as well as the integration and application of traditional elements in modern book design. Scientific novelty. It is proposed the concept of integrating and innovating the application of traditional Chinese binding methods in contemporary book design. It is suggested combining modern technological means and materials to improve traditional binding methods, applying them reasonably in suitable book designs. This approach not only imparts unique cultural characteristics to contemporary Chinese book design but also provides academic support and theoretical guidance for the inheritance and development of traditional culture, promoting the integrated development of design and craftsmanship. Practical significance. To address the current crisis of the decline of traditional Chinese culture and the issue of homogenization in book design, this study analyzes and summarizes the traditional Chinese bookbinding methods. This not only provides a deeper understanding of the development of Chinese book design but also offers new perspectives and possibilities for contemporary book design. The study emphasizes the clever and reasonable application of traditional elements in design.

Abstract:Abstract CorelDRAW is a graphic design software. With the help of foreign knowledge of book binding design, the level of book design in China has been greatly improved in terms of modeling, layout and technology. However, this way also exposes the lack of cultural connotation and artistic characteristics of our nation in the design of books. Therefore, domestic book designers have absorbed the essence of traditional binding art, and tried to create novel books with the assistance of CorelDRAW software. This attempt will explore a way to make Chinese book design glow and develop in the long term. This article expounds the advantages and far-reaching significance of using traditional binding art in modern book design from the aspects of art form, cultural connotation and computer technology.

Abstract:Picture books, as a form of cultural communication in daily life, have subtly influenced all aspects of people's lives and all walks of life. People also continue to research, develop and innovate in the creation of picture books. Picture books have opened up a more diversified way of reading for today's society, which helps people have a clearer understanding of graphic expressions. In today's daily life, there are many details that people do not pay attention to in the design of picture book illustrations, can be a good design element, can make the picture book creation closer to daily life, better portray the appearance of things, to give people a sense of immersive experience. Both can convey the author's thoughts and ideas, but also can increase the affinity and beauty of the picture. Abstract:Nowadays, with the rapid development of China, Folk culture turned to be ignored due the openness and progressive. Folk culture needs to be inherited as well as developed. So, we need to pay more attention to folk culture. Meanwhile, book binding design is inseparable from culture. This dissertation studies how to design books better and how to publicize Gannan Hakka culture which belongs to Folk culture better through books. This article revolves around Gannan Hakka culture under the folk culture, to get in further logically and discover the method of how to design the book which could be able to represent the feature of Gannan Hakka Cultuer hierarchically. Firstly, this dissertation introduces the present situation of book binding design and the importance of folk culture to the design of book binding. Secondly, we can take some examples about the behavior to the book binding design in folk culture from three elements in visual communication design graphic, text and color. And then drawing a conclusion with the design principles and performance techniques in the design of the book binding, besides illustrating the specific performance of Gannan Hakka by diet, customs, clothing, architecture. Finally, I finish the "Gannan Hakka culture," this book is the final research results of my book binding design used in Gannan Hakka culture.

Abstract:In the wei-jin period, paper replaced bamboo/wood and silk became the most important tool for writing. The transformation of carrier, has an important inlfuence on the reading. Compared with bamboo/wood and silk, paper was a new and better writing material. When paper books replaced bamboo and silk books, there were more and more books could be read by people. Meanwhile, reading population had a rapid growth, and the popular reading also rised.

Abstract:With the development of society, the traditional era of service economy is moving towards the era of experience economy. This has led to a higher pursuit of cultural added value in daily activity spaces. Traditional physical bookstores have a single and outdated cultural service function, and due to factors, such as electronic reading and online bookstores, it is difficult to meet people's higher consumption needs. The current operating situation of traditional physical bookstores is not optimistic, and there is an urgent need for transformation and upgrading. With the theme of intangible cultural heritage rice paper, this design plans to build a new physical bookstore in Jing County, Xuancheng, Anhui Province. Through the injection of functions, culture, digitalization, etc., it will create a place that can meet the diverse needs of consumers, and achieve one-stop experience of buying books, entertainment, leisure, and light food, so that it has both commercial value and intangible cultural characteristics. Forming a virtuous cycle of intangible cultural heritage driven bookstore transformation, and promoting the dissemination of intangible cultural heritage through bookstores.
