Study of Adaptive Non-Singular Fast Terminal Sliding Model Guidance Law

Abstract:The traditional fast terminal sliding mode (FTSM) is a singular control problem which would cause the control command is infinite, and the control strategy is usually too complex for mode uncertainty. To solve the above problems, anew adaptive nonsingular fast terminal sliding model (AFTSM)guidance law was proposed in this paper. First, the classical FTSM guidance law was given, based on which the system stability and the property of finite time convergence was proven, Second, for the problem of singular control, the method of boundary layer convergence was employed to achieve the continuous design of control coefficient, Third, according to model uncertainty by the target maneuvering, the adaptive estimation law for the uncertain boundary using the absolute value of sliding mode was designed, based on which the FTSM guidance law was improved. Simulation results show that for amaneuvering target with 10g maneuvering ability at 2 Hz, the proposed AFTSM guidance law can realize the finite time convergence of the LOS angle rate and the sliding mode, which can ensure the guidance accuracy.
