EXPRESSION OF ONCOGENE p_(21) IN THE COMPLETE HYPDATIDIFORM MOLE AND NORMAL PLACENTA

Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between p21 and the genesis of hydatidiform moles.Methods 30 cases of hydatidiform moles and 30 normal early aborted placenta villi were obtained to detect the p21 expression in the two kinds of tissues by using SABC immunohistochemical staining,and image analysis technology was used to analyse the p21 expression in the hydatidiform mole and normal villi.Results Compared with that of the normal villi,the quantity of p21 expression was not significantly different,but the site of p21 expression was quite different.Conclusion in the hydatidiform mole p21 has aclose relationship with the genesis of hydatidiform moles.
