Demonstration Project for Ecological Restoration with Reclaimed Water in Tianjin Economical Development Area

Abstract:In response to the salinization and poor air permeability, and the high salt content in the soil in TEDA, the ecological restoration of aquatic plant was studied. The proper and salt tolerant plants were screened, and after acclimation, restoration of these plants was achieved by taking few engineering measures. The demonstrative project of ecological waters was set up initially; the removal rate of more than 50%, 30%, and 50% can be reached respectively for TN, NH_3-N, and NO~-_3-N, and 75%, 80% for TP, PO~3-_4-P respectively. Meanwhile, the salt content of soil in ecological area can be dissolved out at different level, with remarkable salt elimination effect.
