Abstract:Along with the rapid development of the economy,China's electric power consumption has been increasing.Presently,development of the national economy has entered a stage of heavy industry boom and urbanization expansion,which raises demands for power supply.Drawing experience from countries such as the United States,Japan,the United Kingdom and Korea,mainly focusing on the historical characteristics and trends of their power consumption indexes,the paper sums up general laws governing electricity consumption,which will provide guidance to forecasting the characteristics and trend of China's power consumption in the foreseeable future.
