Abstract:This paper reviews the current research on academic quality evaluation of a single paper,and it does an empirical study on the computation method of a single paper's h-index raised by Schubert in 2009.It takes the Library and Information Science for example.Firstly, based on data from Chinese Social Science Citation Index(2000-2005),it calculates cited times and h-index of each paper which belongs to the Library and Information Science from 2000 to 2005.Secondly,the relationship between cited times and h-index is analysed.Finally,the paper analyses the reason why a single paper's cited times are relatively high,however the h-index is relatively low.
