Main Diseases and Insect Pests of Tea in Meitan County

Abstract:The damage characteristics,field growth and decline trend of main diseases and the life habit of main pests in tea gardens were surveyed by the combination method of general survey and system investigation to study main diseases and insect pests of tea in Meitan county,Guizhou and to provide the scientific basis for controlling tea diseases and insect pests effectively.The results showed that five main diseases were Exobasidium vexans,Gloeosporium theae sinesis,Phyllosticat theaefolia,Colletotrichum camelliae and Meloidogyne incognita and their rate of disease tea trees was 8.99%~10.76%,seven pests were Empoasca pirisuga,Toxoptera aurantii,Scirtothrips dorsalis,Hemitarsonemus latus,Anomalacorpulenta,Euproctis pseudoconpersa and Aleurocanthus spiniferus and their infection rate of tea trees was 12.5%~23.1%.
