Abstract:The volatile components from Toona sinensis (A Joss.) Roem leaves and common petioles extracted by steam distillation were analysised by GC-MS. Results: 64 components were separated and identified in the essential oils of leaves, the main components were 2-Hexenal(15.51%), Globulol(8.01%), alpha-Pinene (6.69%), Copaene(6.2%), Farnesyl acetate(4.86%), alpha-Cadinol(4.77%), n-Hexanol(2.85%), delta-Cadinene(2.78%), tau-Muurolol(2.75%), Farnesyl alcohol(2.58%), Caryophyllene(2.48%), Epiglobulol(2.3%), gamma-Elemene(2.18%), Viridiflorol(2.17%), n-Hexanal(2.13%), Cedrenol(1.87%), delta-Elemene(1.73%), 4,8,12,16-Octadecatetraen-1-ol, 4,9,13,17-tetramethyl-(1.73%), Cedreanol, (-)-(1.19%), Ledol(1.16%), beta-Elemene (1.11%), Caryophyllene oxide(1.10%), alpha-Cubebene(1.09%), 5 beta,7 beta H,10 alpha-Eudesm-11-en-1 alpha-ol(1.08%), tau-Cadinol(1.04%), alpha-Muurolene(1.04%), Eudesma-4(14),11-diene(1.00%), etc. 50 components were separated and identified in the essential oils of common petioles, the main components were Pentane, 2-ethoxy-(16.45%), alpha-Cadinol(9.22%), tau-Muurolol(6.94%), Copaene(6.9%), Benzene,1,2-dimethyl-(5.99%), 2-Pentyn-l-ol(3.65%), 4,11,11-Trimethyl-8-methylenebicyclo[7.2.0]undec-4-ene(2.84%), delta-Cadinene(2.72%), 4-Methylthio-3-butenyl isothiocyanate(2.47%), beta-Chamigrene(2.34%), delta-Elemene(2.3%), tau-Cadinol(2.22%), beta-elemene(2.14%), Farnesyl acetate(2.06%), Pentane, 2-ethoxy(1.97%), gamma-Elemene(1.92%), alpha-Muurolene(1.51%), alpha-Caryophyllene(1.50%), Globulol(1.43%), alpha-Cubebene(1.41%), Epiglobulol(1.35%), n-Hexadecanoic acid (1.26%), Farnesyl alcohol(1.25%), Ledol(1.23%), 2-Ethoxypropane2-(1.23%), Valencene(1.09%), Caryophyllene oxide (1.07%), Butanedioic acid, methyl-, bis(1-methylpropyl) ester(1.06%) etc.
