Abstract:The development of modern information technology makes it possible to timely and actively navigate traffic flow to avoid congestion. This paper outlines the architecture of the system of mobile transportation information service, and some critical techniques to realize the system are elaborated such as mobile positioning, XML-based information organization, traffic-flow information collection and processing, grid computing, flow media service and Web services, etc. The route navigation based on predictive control is proposed, and the realization study of route navigation demonstrates how the critical techniques are holistically utilized.

Abstract:This paper describes the development and verification of a prototype of ROad Lifecycle Management System (ROLMS) that uses new information technologies including Web, Internet GIS (Geographic Information System) and groupware. The approach by the system seems not only to support the information sharing through lifecycle in road management, to facilitate the collaborative work among the multiple sides, but also to make it possible to carry out in-depth analyses that are beneficial to the management.

Abstract:This paper presents firstly that the trend of transportation systems is not only the ITS but also integrated transportation systems. The new viewpoint is dissertated on three aspects. Firstly, considering of the category the ITS belonging to, the passage analyzes the status of the ITS. Secondly, thinking about the causes of the traffic problems, the paper also takes the effect range of ITS into account. At last, taking the traffic control and traffic inducement for example, the article shows that the traffic system must be integrated. And then, the information problem of the ITS is discussed from three points, that is the relationship between information and intelligence, the problem about quantity and quality of information, and the need of the intelligence by the development of IT. Afterwards, through the examples of 7 aspects, the ignorance of the complexity of traffic systems is explained. Finally, the necessity of using the methodology of system science to study on traffic system is raised.

Abstract:As the development of the state economy, the urban traffic problems are becoming more and more urgent. Although the continuous investment is devoted to the base traffic utility, the traffic congestion and the traffic accident are still growing. To solve these problem, we establish the advanced urban traffic information collecting system, which gathers and analysizes the traffic information, and then issues the real-time traffic information to the public. This will help the people select the right route before they go out. The urban traffic collecting system described in this article is based on the traffic data obtained by the mobile collecting equipment. In this page, we discuss three main methods according to different traffic data. With these methods, The system can get the real-time traffic information. And after syncretizing and issuing the traffic information, the passing ability of the road will be increased with using the traffic resource efficiently, and that the goal so-called urban harmonious traffic will be achieved.

Abstract:With the continual going deeply into reform and opening, the development of economy and the advance of people living standard, the amount of mobile vehicles increasing, it results in deterioration of the traffic. In order to reconcile urban transportation, this paper presents a design and realization of an advanced urban traffic surveillance and management system. It is an urban traffic surveillance command platform integrated by transportation information collecting, information processing, information syncretizing, information releasing, traffic controlling and managing. Aiming at the characteristic of domestic mingled transportation, the system provides the urban traffic surveillance command system of LCHA to the traffic management department. With this system, we can take good and efficient use of various traffic resources to construct the urban harmonic transportation.

Abstract:How to use current and every kind of traffic information mature standardized data exchanges format and technique to support ITS is an important and urgent task.For this,on the base of analyzing the characteristic of traffic data and the reguirement for database management,combined with the available technology both at home and abroad,a new traffic data management parttern is put forward on the base of GDF criterion.To work out design method suitable for ITS information platform in China,the authors study﹑the navigation criterion GDF for ITS in Europe,and conduct verification test in order to indicate the feasibility of the technology.

Abstract:Freeway has strong geospatial distributing characteristics,easily management using GIS.The paper used Oracle & ArcSDE to manage spatial data,chose the development environment of.NET integrated to ArcGIS Engine,and finally designed a freeway management system model. "Freeway Infrastructure management information system based on GIS in Jiangsu province" had developed according to the model.Some system functions and key technology were analyzed emphatically.The system could make up the conventional manage limitation and is worthy to be popularized widely.

Abstract:Taking the Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co. Ltd as an example, the paper investigates the status of enterprise's rail leased line and analyzes the problems existing in the railway car operating. For solving these problems, this study develops an integrated transportation system to optimize the management process and proposes a package solution based on the advanced information technique and wireless communication technique. Abstract:Aiming at the actual condition of public traffic communication management in China and the present situation of GPS technology development,this paper designs an intelligent transport system baesd on GPS,GPRS and GIS technologies,and gives its structure and working principle.Experimental results prove that the system is with high GPS orientation precision(±2 m),high efficiency and stability for GPRS information transportation(packet loss rate1%),and the bus arrival time prediction is exact(accuracy rate90%).

Abstract:By introducing spatial information technology (SIT), including remote sensing, geographic information system (GIS), satellite navigation system, etc., the principals and methodologies of traffic information collection and management based on SIT were discussed in this paper. The analysis and fusion of all the available information by the support of GIS was described, and the Traffic Information Management System (TIMS) was designed and developed, which has many features such as friendly interface, easy operation and versatile functions. The system can be widely applied to traffic control, vehicle guidance and dispatching, route planning and infrastructure construction.

Abstract:In order to help drivers get traffic information more easily and accurately, a new regional traffic information disseminating system based on ZigBee and GPRS is introduced in this paper. The system consists of two main components: an Information Sending Device (ISD) fixed on the roadside which sends traffic information as well as an Information Receiving Device (IRD) equipped in vehicles which receives traffic information. Real-time traffic information is sent to ISDs through GPRS network by traffic information management center. Then ISD disseminates the information timely and accurately to IRDs through ZigBee network. At last the traffic information is broadcasted vocally to drivers using Text To Speech (TTS) technology by IRD. The hardware structure and software design are presented respectively. The system is tested in Chegongzhuang Street, Beijing. The test results show that the system works well and drivers can obtain traffic information accurately and timely.

Abstract:AbstrcatIn order to remotely and timely monitor the public electric vehicles'operation and assure traffic safety,the design and realization of intelligent management system for public electric vehicles' operation were studied.The system is mainly composed of information-control server system,real-time monitoring system,statistics and analysis system,and information collection and transmission terminal.The design of every system is discussed in detail,and the key technologies for the geographic information system and wireless communication are also explained.The experiment results show that the system can work reliably,which improves management efficiency for the public electric vehicles'operation.

Abstract:Traditional manual driving and single-vehicle-based intelligent driving have limitations in real-time and accurate acquisition of the current driving status and intentions of surrounding vehicles, leading to vehicles typically maintaining appropriate safe distances from each other. Yet, accidents still frequently occur, especially in merging areas; meanwhile, it is difficult to comprehensively obtain the conditions of road infrastructure. These limitations not only restrict the further improvement of road capacity but also result in irreparable losses of life and property. To overcome this bottleneck, this paper constructs a space-time global view of the road traffic system based on a real-time sharing mechanism, enabling both road users and managers to timely access the driving intentions of nearby vehicles and the real-time status of road infrastructure.
