Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to present a bibliometric analysis on cloud computing literature development since year 2008. A systematic search strategy was carried out through Scopus as the single electronic citation database in this bibliometric analysis. The findings reveal that the publication of cloud computing has been steadily maintained at the same rate for last few years except in 2020 which could be due to higher concentration on COVID related publications. Besides that, the cloud computing publications were reduced could be due to work from home situation which pull down the work efficiency and another possibility is cloud computing publications have started to decline and overtaken by other technologies due to the interest and demand from the academics and market, but this must be observed in next following 2 to 3 years to confirm on this. Precisely, the finding of this bibliometric analysis shows that countries with higher cloud computing literature publications tends to have higher cloud computing growth rate which implies that local government and related bodies are playing an important role to facilitate the technology awareness and transformation. This study contributes to cloud computing research by providing holistic insights of its literature development since 2018 by understanding its development, growth pattern, and contributions by the topmost affiliations/institutions, countries, authors, publishers in this area. In future, bibliometric analysis on cloud computing could be extended to other citation databases as this study is only referring to single citation database.

Abstract:Choosing patents in cloud-computing field in Derwent Innovation Index as the objective,this paper analyzes these patents from micro,middle and macro perspectives with patent bibliometrics and SNA methods.In macro view,cloud-computing patents are in the period of rapidly developing,and America owns more patents than the other countries.In middle view,there is a great difference between China and foreign countries in cooperative particle size,and the cooperative institution is similar in primary business.In micro view,the cooperation rate and cooperation intensity of Chinese companies are weaker than international famous international companies,which hinders flow and diffusion of knowledge and the increase of technology productivity.

Abstract:Purpose This bibliometric study is steered to compute the impact of literature published on cloud computing within the fields of information science and library science. The research has been conducted on concentrating the term "Cloud Computing" to search the literature published in both fields, i.e. information science and library science from the time span 2007 to August 2023. This study aims to investigate the top productive country, organizations and highly cited publications. Design/methodology/approach The period of the exploration was from 2007 to August 2023 for bibliometric analysis and data was collected from the ISI Web of Science. Total 401 documents were retrieved and analyzed to highlight the year-wise distribution of documents type, year-wise most cited articles, prominent journals of the subjects, productivity of organizations, impact of countries and cooccurrences of keywords. The results are grounded on the basis of documents types (articles, early access articles, proceeding papers, book review, editorial material, news items and reviews). Findings The findings reveal that the most productive year of publication on cloud computing services was 2013. The top productive source is "International Journal of Information Management." The articles entitled "Assessing the determinants of cloud computing adoption: An analysis of the manufacturing and services sectors" found as the most cited article and the significant increase in citations is also noteworthy. The most productive organizations on the topic include "Islamic Azad University of Iran," "University Cologne of Germany" and "University Nova Lisboa of Portugal." The results confirmed that the USA dominates in the production of research on "Cloud Computing Services" and the most repeated keyword in the literature is cloud computing. The research articles are the most cited sources of research. Originality/value This bibliometric research is an original piece of work that has been conducted to measure the research production in the field of information science and library science during 2007−2023. This piece of work is valuable for those who want to study the literature on cloud computing in the area of information science and library science.

The analysis of keyword frequency highlights 'cloud', 'data', 'computing', 'security', and 'block chain' as dominant themes, indicating a strong emphasis on data integrity, security, and emerging technologies in cloud computing.Sentiment analysis of research abstracts reveals a predominantly positive yet cautiously optimistic tone, reflecting the field's optimistic outlook towards advancements and potential applications, balanced by an awareness of inherent challenges. The study also delves into the impact of authors and organizations, identifying influential contributors and collaborative networks within the academic community.In conclusion, this paper provide a comprehensive overview of the cloud computing research landscape, offering valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders. Abstract:To provide an overview of the characteristics of research in China, a bibliometric evaluation of highly cited papers with high-level representation was conducted during the period from 1999 to 2009 based on the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database. A comprehensive assessment covered overall performance, journals, subject categories, internationally collaborative countries, national inter-institutionally collaborative institutions, and most-cited papers in 22 scientific fields. China saw a strong growth in scientific publications in the last decade, to some extent due to increasing research and development expenditure. China has been more active in ESI fields of chemistry and physics, but more excellent in materials science, engineering and mathematics. Most publications were concerned with the common Science Citation Index subject categories of multidisciplinary chemistry, multidisciplinary materials and science, and physical chemistry. About one half China's ESC papers were internationally collaborative and the eight major industrialized countries (the USA, Germany, the UK, Japan, France, Canada, Russia, and Italy) played a prominent role in scientific collaboration with China, especially the USA. The Chinese Academy of Sciences took the leading position of institutions with many branches. The "985 Project" stimulated the most productive institutions for academic research with a huge funding injection and the universities in Hong Kong showed good scientific performance. The citation impact of internationally collaborative papers differed among fields and international collaborations made positive contributions to academic research in China.

Abstract:Quantum computing is the next-generation technology for future human society. This article aims to give a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the global development status of quantum computing. First, the latest research hotspots of quantum computing are reviewed. Then multiple bibliometric metrics were used to analyse the current development status, research hotspots, technological trends, and the contribution of authors, institutions, and countries in quantum computing from 2016 to 2020. The results confirm that quantum computing is still under development, with the United States and China in the leading position, from where most critical scholars came. The most important institutions are scattered in the United States, China, and France. The characteristics of international cooperation, research impact, topics with the highest Prominence percentile, distinctive keyphrases, and leading source journals within the field were also analysed. The results may provide a quantitative basis for scientific research and decision-making in quantum computing.

Abstract:Purpose The purpose of this study was to map the quantity (frequency), quality (impact) and structural indicators (correlations) of research produced on cloud computing in 48 countries and 3 territories in the Asia continent. Design/methodology/approach To achieve the objectives of the study and scientifically map the indicators, data were extracted from the Scopus database. The extracted bibliographic data was first cleaned properly using Endnote and then analyzed using Biblioshiny and VosViewer application software. In the software, calculations include citations count; h , g and m indexes; Bradford's and Lotka's laws; and other scientific mappings. Findings Results of the study indicate that China remained the most productive, impactful and collaborative country in Asia. All the top 20 impactful authors were also from China. The other most researched areas associated with cloud computing were revealed to be mobile cloud computing and data security in clouds. The most prominent journal currently publishing research studies on cloud computing was “Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing.” Originality/value The study is the first of its kind which identified the quantity (frequencies), quality (impact) and structural indicators (correlations) of Asian (48 countries and 3 territories) research productivity on cloud computing. The results are of great importance for researchers and countries interested in further exploring, publishing and increasing cross country collaborations related to the phenomenon of cloud computing.

Abstract:Network public opinion analysis is of great significance to grasp the development trend of hot events and provide policy guidance. Therefore, systematically sorting out the evolutionary trends and research hotspots of research in this field can provide references and references for conducting network public opinion analysis as well as provide guidance for public opinion monitoring of regulatory authorities. To this end, 677 articles firstly selected in the field of network public opinion analysis that published in from 2014 to 2020 from the core database of Web of Science (WOS). Then Citespace was used to perform scientific measurement and visual analysis on them by building and analyzing knowledge graphs from multiple perspectives such as the distribution of research power of countries, institutions, authors and journals, etc. Finally, this paper discovered the research hotspots and evolution trends of the research in this field. Research methods have undergone an evolutionary process from statistics-based, machine learning algorithms to sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis, social media and opinion discovery have become the hotspots in present research as well as the trend in future research.

Abstract:This study is intended to quantitatively analyze the research trends in the domain of cloud computing in agriculture by conducting the first ever bibliometric analysis in this domain. This paper analyzed 565 research articles published during 2010–2021 in this area. Cloud computing in agriculture has been found to be a research area with promising growth with various technologies and applications. This bibliometric analysis highlights the research's impact through several bibliometric techniques including trend analysis, citation analysis, key contributors, bibliographic coupling, keyword analysis, co-authorship analysis and co-citation analysis. Additionally, this study conducted a thematic analysis and determined four emerging themes in the domain of cloud computing in agriculture. The study adds to the academic body of knowledge in this domain by making several theoretical contributions to the existing literature and outlines relevant practical implications for the different stakeholders of cloud computing in agriculture. The study also charts a future research agenda in this research domain.
