Abstract:AbstractThis paper is to review the background and development of the modern public hospital management system, clarify its connotation and signifi cance and introduce public hospital reform and the establishment of modern public hospital management system in some regions of China and some developed countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Singapore. According to the above, we put forward suggestions on the establishment of modern public hospital system in China from 3 levels: At the macro level, it is to strengthen the functional orientation of public hospitals on the premise of the classifi ed management of medical institutions and the persistence of the public welfare. At the middle level, it is to promote the division between regulation and management and the separation of governmental agencies and institutions by means of the corporate governance mechanism. At the micro level, it is to improve the comprehensive effi ciency of the hospital in virtue of establishing scientifi c management system.
