Abstract:We investigate a nonlocal reaction diffusion equation with absorption under Neumann boundary. We obtain optimal conditions on the exponents of the reaction and absorption terms for the existence of solutions blowing up in finite time, or for the global existence and boundedness of all solutions. For the blowup solutions, we also study the blowup rate estimates and the localization of blowup set. Moreover, we show some numerical experiments which illustrate our results.

Abstract:This paper deals with a reaction-diffusion equation with inner absorption and boundary flux of exponential forms. The blow-up rate is determined with the blow-up set, and the blow-up profile near the blow-up time is obtained by the Giga–Kohn method. It is observed that the blow-up rate and profile are independent of the nonlinear absorption term.

The main purpose is to understand how the reaction terms and the absorption terms affect the blow-up properties. Abstract:This paper deals with a reaction–diffusion system with coupled nonlinear inner sources and a nonlinear boundary flux. Blow-up rates are determined for four different blow-up situations. The so-called characteristic algebraic system is introduced to get a very simple and clear description for the desired blow-up rate estimates. It is pointed out that one cannot directly use super and sub-solutions to establish blow-up rate estimates, since they do not share the same blow-up time in general.

Abstract:This paper devoted to the initial boundary problem of a degenerate reaction system with the null Dirichlet boundary condition.Based on the maximum principle,we construct the blowing-up lower solution by the relations of parameters and solution of the ordinary differential equation and then the blow-up properties are studied.We use the maximal principle to analyse the derivative profiles of the solution and get the lower bounds and upper bounds of blow-up rate through the complicated analysis technology and the inequality theory.

Abstract:This paper deals with the blow-up for a non-local diffusion equation with exponential reaction term and Neumann boundary condition. The local existence and uniqueness of the solution are obtained. Furthermore, we prove that the solution of the equation blows up in finite time. Under appropriate hypotheses, we give the estimates of the blow-up rate, and obtain that the blow-up set is a single point x = 0 for radially symmetric solution with a single maximum at the origin. Finally, some numerical experiments are performed, which illustrate our results.

Abstract:This paper considers blow-up solutions for reaction–diffusion equations, complemented by homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is proved that there exist initial data such that one block or two (separated or contiguous) blocks of n components blow up simultaneously while the others remain bounded. As a corollary, a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained such that any blow-up must be the case for at least two components blowing up simultaneously. We also show some other exponent regions, where any blow-up of k(∈{1,2,…,n}) components must be simultaneous. Moreover, the corresponding blow-up rates and sets are discussed. The results extend those in Liu and Li [B.C. Liu, F.J. Li, Non-simultaneous blow-up of n components for nonlinear parabolic systems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 356 (2009) 215–231].

Abstract:This paper deals with a reaction–diffusion problem with coupled nonlinear inner sources and nonlocal boundary flux. Firstly, we propose the critical exponents on nonsimultaneous blow-up under some conditions on the initial data. Secondly, we combine the scaling technique and the Green’s identity method to determine four kinds of simultaneous blow-up rates. Thirdly, the lower and the upper bounds of blow-up time are derived by using Sobolev-type differential inequalities.

Abstract:In this paper, the blow-up solutions of the following reaction-diffusion systems are studied: where D⊂Rn(n≥2) is a bounded region and the boundary ∂D of D is smooth. Sufficient conditions to ensure the existence of the blow-up solution of this problem are obtained. For the blow-up solution, we also get an upper bound on the blow-up time and an upper estimate of the blow-up rate. Our research mainly relies on the use of the maximum principles of weakly coupled parabolic systems and the first-order differential inequality technique.
