Abstract:Self-discipline of internet industry to protect the right to internet privacy at present has some problems: The protection by the internet industry is difficult to put into practice;most websites fail to post privacy policy at a prominent place;for some websites,the privacy policy is just for show.In order to ensure self-discipline of internet industry to protect the right to internet privacy,following countermeasures should be taken: first,the government should strengthen the governance of self-discipline of internet industry;second,the organizations of internet industry should play a more active role;third,every single website should practice a more strict policy of protect the right to internet privacy;fourth,all the netizens should supervise every single website to protect the right to internet privacy.
