Abstract:[OBJECTIVE] Regulated deficit irrigation technique (RDI) was used to study on influence of wine grape growth and fruit quality. [METHOD] In field conditions, with the Eurasian species (Vitis vinffera, L.) wine grape Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir as test materials, different amount of irrigation is to use as regulated deficit irrigation. And then different irrigation treatments was compared and analyzed on grape growth and fruit quality. [RESULTS] In the regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) conditions, the incidence of grapes side shoots are reduced and shoot growth is inhibited. With the deficit degree aggravating the net photosynthetic rate (Pn), transpiration rate (Tr), intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) and stomatal conductance (Gs) was decreased, but water use efficiency increased significantly.Regulated deficit irrigation on grape fruit size and yield no significant influence. RDI makes the fruit soluble solid content, reducing sugar content increases and ratio of sugar to acid increased, but total acid content decreased,. In addition, the mild RDI increase phenolic substance content of the grape skins such aj tannin. [CONCLUSION] Regulated deficit irrigation on the premise of saving water, not only inhibit the growth of wine grape nutrient, but also improve fruit quality.
