Abstract:An external circular anaerobic reactor of a brewery in Inner Mongolia was broken down after the first start-up because of incorrect operation.The seeding sludge in the second start-up was aerobic active sludge from bio-contact oxidization behind.After 20 days of acclimation,aerobic sludge transformed into anaerobic sludge with good activity;after 50 days of operation in low load with high removal rate way,some granular sludge was found in the reactor;then in order to increase quantity of granular sludge,the flowrate was increased faster,and the COD removal rose slowly after a sudden drop.The start-up was completed when the flowrate reached its maximum,but the quantity of granular sludge and the COD removal rate was still rising.
