Abstract:To deal with application requirement on network-based collaborative design,the architecture of typical parts components design system was studied,parts components modeling method based on eXtended Markup Language(XML)to represent characteristics was proposed.Components and parametric driven components were disposed by XML.XML-based parts components template generation process and parametric regeneration process were discussed.By incorporating component-based typical parts components design toolkit and expert system,design navigation of parts components and automatic assembly based on coordinate system were analyzed.Finally,a hoist design case among heterogeneous CAD platforms indicated that this system was an integrated,rapid and intelligent system capable of covering parts components design to modeling and assembly.
