Abstract:The title complex, [CuCl2(C6H6N4S2)], has a flattened tetrahedral coordination. The Cu-II atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by two N atoms from a chelating 2,2'-diamino-4,4'-bi-1,3-thiazole ligand and by two Cl atoms. Intramolecular hydrogen bonding exists between the amino groups of the 2,2'-diamino-4,4'-bi-1,3-thiazole ligand and the Cl atoms. The intermolecular separation of 3.425 (1) Angstrom between parallel bithiazole rings suggests there is a pi-pi interaction between them.

Abstract:The title compound, [Cu(C4H4O5)(C 6H6N4S2)]·H2O, displays a square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The tridentate oxydiacetate dianion chelates the CuII atom in the facial mode. The large difference [0.487 (4) Å] between the longest Cu-O distance in the basal plane and that in the apical direction correlates with the small displacement of the CuII atom [0.0576 (13) Å] from the basal plane towards the apex of the square pyramid. The intermolecular hydrogen-bonding network results in a closely overlapped arrangement of the coordination basal plane and the thiazole ring of a neighboring molecule.

Abstract:The Cu-I atom of the title complex, [Cu(C7H8N2S)(4)]Cl, is located on a 4 inversion axis and has distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry, formed by four phenylthiourea S atoms. Within the phenylthiourea ligands, the C-N(imino) bonds [1.341 (2) Angstrom] are significantly longer than the C-N(amino) bonds [1.316 (3)Angstrom]. Abstract:The title complex, Cu-2(C10H2O8)(C3H4N2)(6)(H2O)(4) . 4H(2)O, consists of polymeric copper(II) complex anions and discrete copper(II) complex cations. Benzenetetracarboxyl anions bridge copper(II) atoms coordinated to water and imidazole groups to form the anionic polymeric chains along the a axis, while discrete copper(II) complex cations involving four imidazole and two water ligands are packed between parallel polymeric anionic chains, an extensive H-bonding network linking complex cations and anions.

Abstract:The title complex, [Cu3(C9H8BrNO4S)2(C7H4BrO2)2(C10H8N2)2]·H2O, lies on an inversion center located on the central Cu atom, which is four-coordinated in a square-planar geometry, whereas the outer Cu atoms related by symmetry are five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry. The trinuclear mol-ecules, with an intramolecular Cu⋯Cu separation of 6.313 (3) Å, are linked to each other, forming a chain through O - H⋯O and O - H⋯Br hydrogen bonds involving the half-occupied water mol-ecule. Futhermore, weak C - H⋯O inter-actions link the chains to form a supra-molecular network.

Abstract:In the title compound, {[Cu(C12H6O4)(C3H4N2)2(H2O)]·2H2O} n , the CuII cation is coordinated by two naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate (naph) dianions, two imidazole mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The Cu - O bond distance in the apical direction is 0.509 (3) Å longer than the mean Cu - O bond distance in the basal plane. The naph dianion bridges two CuII cations, forming a one-dimensional polymeric chain. The coordinated water mol-ecule is hydrogen-bonded to the carboxylate groups and imidazole ligands of adjacent polymeric chains, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. No π-π stacking is observed in the crystal structure. One solvent water molecule is disordered equally over two positions. © 2008.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C7H5O4)(2)(C7H6N2)(2)]center dot 3H(2)O, the Cu-II ion is coordinated by two benzimidazole (bzim) molecules and two 3,5-dihydroxybenzoate (dhba) anions in a tetrahedrally distorted square-planar geometry. Aromatic pi - pi stacking is observed between parallel bzim ligands and between roughly parallel bzim and dhba units. An extensive O - H center dot center dot center dot O and N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network helps to consolidate the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title compound, [Cu2(C10H2O8)(H2O)4] n , is isostructural with the analogous Zn polymeric compound [Wang, Lu, Yang, Zhao & Ng (2007). Acta Cryst. E63, m2986]. Each CuII ion is coordinated by five O atoms [Cu - O = 1.968 (2)-2.268 (3) Å] in a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The coordinating water mol-ecules are involved in inter-molecular O - H⋯O hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.726 (3)-2.767 (3) Å], which consolidate the packing. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.

Abstract:The structure of the the title compound, [Cu(2)(C(7)H(3)ClO(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)]·2H(2)O, consists of a dimeric unit involving a planar Cu(2)O(2) group arranged around an inversion center. The coordination sphere of the Cu(II) atom can be described as an elongated distorted square pyramid where the basal plane is formed by the two N atoms of the 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecule and the two O atoms of the hydroxy-chloro-benzoate (hcbe) anion. The long apical Cu-O distance of 2.569 (2) Å involves the O atom of a symmetry-related hcbe anion, building up the dinuclear unit. Each dinuclear unit is connected through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving two water mol-ecules, resulting in an R(4) (2)(8) graph-set motif and building up an infinite chain parallel to (10). C-H⋯O inter-actions further stabilize the chain.

Abstract:The title compound, [CuCl(CH(4)N(2)S)(2)] x 2C(11)H(6)N(2)O x H(2)O, consists of molecules of a Cu(I)-thiourea complex, free 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one (dafone) and crystalline water. The planar complex molecule has trigonal coordination geometry around the Cu(I) atom. The dafone and water molecules, which are hydrogen bonded to the Cu(I) complex, are approximately coplanar with this complex. The crystal displays a sheet structure and pi-pi stacking is observed between neighbouring sheets.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu-2(CH3-COO)(4)(C9H7N)(2)], the Cu-II cation is coordinated by four acetate anions and one isoquinoline molecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry; the Cu-II cation is 0.1681 (6) angstrom from the basal coordination plane formed by the four O atoms. Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(C3H4N2)(6)]-[Mn(C3H4N2) (3)(H2O)(3)](C12H6O4)(2), there are uncoordinated naphthalenedicarboxylate dianions and two kinds of Mn-II complex cations, both assuming a distorted octahedral geometry. One Mn-II cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by six imidazole molecules, while the other Mn-II cation is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by three water molecules and three imidazole units. The naphthalenedicarboxylate dianions are linked to both Mn-II complex cations via O-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding, but no pi-pi stacking is observed between aromatic rings in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title centrosymmetric binuclear CuII complex, [Cu2(C8H7O2)4(C9H7N)2], the two Cu cations are bridged by four carboxylate groups of the phenylacetate anions; each Cu cation is further coordinated by an isoquinoline ligand to complete the distorted CuO4N square-pyramidal geometry.
