The Significance of Cultural Diversity in the Era of Globalization

Abstract:In the era of globalization,culture plays a more and more important role in the process of the society development and change.The issues of cultural diversity are closely related to the globalization process,and if we concern cultural diversity by combine the structure of the social mode of production with globalization process,we will find that the issues of cultural diversity are involving the understand reality and the choice to future,and the possibility of another mode of globalization and so on.In this paper,I think there are four forms of cultural diversity in the era of globalization:regional and local culture,material and immaterial culture,new culture based on new technology and radical culture based on the resistance to the pressure of globalization.Under the different social relationship and culture condition the four forms of culture can combine with each other and form richness culture forms and culture ecology.Under the globalization condition cultural diversity is universality and present complex contradiction structure such as the conflicts between the localism,nationalism and globalization trend,the crisis of ecology and ethic and development,capitalism mode of production and desiring beyond capitalism mode of production and so on.Cultural diversity is a part of modern culture production and become a part of globalization movement by the other institution in the globalization process.We can mediate the intercommunity in humanity and modernity so as to promotion culture exchange between different nation,and drive the diversity world forward and change the target and nature of globalization.
