Abstract:The accidental methane explosion accident will not only pose a serious threat to the safety of industrial processes, but also cause serious environmental pollution with excessive carbon emissions and greenhouse effect. Therefore, this paper has studied the inhibition effect of modified ABC powder driven by heptafluoropropane on methane explosion. Multiple methane explosion suppression experiments were carried out using a 3.2 L horizontal experimental pipeline under various working condition. The experimental results demonstrate that the modified ABC powder has a certain inhibitory effect on methane explosions, but the explosive suppression effect of the powder improves when heptafluoropropane is used as the driving gas. When 3∼4 % heptafluoropropane is used as the driving gas, the flame is obviously inhibited. The deformation degree of flame shape is the largest at 4 % concentration. The flame totally folds inward at this point, forming an uneven finger flame. When 4 % concentration of heptafluoropropane drives the powder, there is a critical value of the concentration of the powder, which is 0.06 g/L. According to the characterization results, the average particle size of the modified ABC powder is less than 5 μm. It has good dispersibility and pyrolysis effect and is not easy to agglomerate. Under the driving action of heptafluoropropane, the powder will form aerosol, which can fully contact and react with the flame. The inert gas around the powder will reduce the forward speed of the flame and ensure that the flame and powder can fully contact and react. The combination of the two has a good synergistic effect and can effectively inhibit methane explosion. This system includes a very large chamber that provides enough space for the flash wave to spread and also allows two large visualization windows on it, so more image information can be obtained. The chamber is designed to have the cylindrical inner shape to satisfy the strength requirements while the outer shape is cubic. Of particular feature is the boiler as the heat system, which is used in our system to heat the water in the chamber. The Fiber Bragg Grating sensors are used to measure the temperature of the test liquid (water) and a high speed CCD digital camera is set in front of the visualization window to record the pictures of the flash phenomenon. Finally we carried out a test to verify this system. A highly sensitive liquid chromatographic method was developed for the fluorometric determination of trace amounts of linear aliphatic primary amines. Prior to extraction, amines were derivatized with naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde (NDA) in the presence of cyanide ion (CN) and extracted by vortex-assisted liquid–liquid microextraction (VALLME). The optimum conditions were as follows: derivatization reaction time for 5 min in 2.0 mL aqueous donor samples with 50 μM NDA/CN, and 10 mM borate buffer at pH 9; vortex extraction time for 20 s in the VALLME step with 50 μL of isooctane as the extractant phase; centrifugation for 1 min at 6000 rpm. Under the optimum conditions, the limits of detection (LOD) were between 0.01 and 0.04 nmol L −1 . The calibration curves showed good linearity in the range of 0.1–20 nmol L −1 . In comparison with previous work using o-phthalaldehyde/2-mercaptoethanol derivatization, the method has much more stable fluorescent derivatives, higher fluorescence intensities, and greater extraction efficiencies. The sensitivity enhancement factors (SEF) were between 2 and 70, which is in good agreement with the theoretical values calculated from partition coefficients in VALLME system. The inhibition performances of nano-aluminum hydroxide (nano-ATH) foam were evaluated by thermal gravimetric analyzer and cone calorimeter. Results demonstrate that the dry cracking temperature point and ignition temperature point of coal samples increase after nano-ATH foam processing, while the percentage of weight loss decreases. In particular, the dry cracking temperature point increases form 93.2 °C to 164.6 °C, the ignition temperature point increases from 406.9 °C to 443.6 °C, and the weight loss percentage decreases from 34% to 20%.
