Test and Revision of ECS under Exercise Participations among College Students in China

Abstract:The chosen sample population for this research was comprised of 490 undergraduates.In the test,60 stu dents were tested by language equivalence test;30 students for the inspection of retest reliability,and 400 students were measured by the Chinese questionnaire of exercise commitment and exercise behavior.The result showed that the Chinese version ECS was similar in dimensionality structure to the English questionnaire.It had high reliability and validity,and was up to psychometric standard.ECS included commitment features and determination factors.The item load in each factor was between.430-.798.The internal consistency coefficient in each reliability was be tween.705-.815.Retested reliability was between.564-.781.There was significant correlation between each dimen sionality and validity in exercise behavior.Therefore,it was effective to use Chinese version ECS in evaluating physi cal exercise of the Chinese college students.
