Analysis on progress of occupational health surveillance in China

Abstract:Occupational health surveillance is not only an important constituent part,but also an embodiment of the prevention and control of occupational diseases.In this paper,on the basis of reviewing on foreign and domestic references,the progress on occupational health surveillance work in China was briefly summarized in three aspects as following:(1)Since implementation of"Occupational Disease Prevention Law in China"in 2002,on the basis of learning external successful experience and combining internal practical situation,the laws and regulations concerned occupational health surveillance were well perfected and standardized;(2)Medical staff and administrators for occupational health surveillance work gradually realized the importance to establish a good quality control system for ensuring the implementation of occupational health surveillance;(3)Now,the information management in occupational health surveillance is gradually changing to electronic model from simple manual model,it will not only improve the quality and efficiency of occupational health surveillance work,but also achieve real-time tracking worker's work and health information,thereby,timely intervention can be made and workers' health may be well protected.As summary,the occupational health surveillance,and the occupational disease prevention or control in China would get further canonical and efficient through improving and perfecting these works mentioned above.
