Diagnosis and treatment of benign testis neoplasm (a report of three cases)

Abstract:Objective To study the diagnosis and treatment of adult benign testis neoplasms.Methods The clinical data of three cases of benign testicular neoplasms was retrospectively reviewed our hospital in the ten years,including medical history,tumor markers,ultrasonography,and CT.Results Radical orchiectomy by inguinal approach was performed in 3 patients.Pathologic examination approved that one case was adenomatoid tumor,another was leydig cell tumor,the last one was hemangioma.There was no relapse or metastasis after a median follow-up of 11 months(range 2 months-2 years).Conclusion There is increased trend of benign testicular neoplasms,but preoperative diagnosis is rather difficult,where we should pay more attention.If the diagnosis of benign was suspected,the intraoperative frozen section should be actively performed for the patient,and then the conservative surgery of sparing testis is available once confirmed.
