Lung-kidney Deficiency and Several Common Diseases in Pulmonary System

Abstract:Lung-kidney deficiency is a clinical common symptom of airway inflammatory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).On the basis of the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine about COPD,the cause of lung-kidney deficiency and relative researches of replenishing kidney and strengthening qi,this review describes the context and development of lung-kidney deficiency,the reason why lung-kidney deficiency frequently occurs in pulmonary common diseases and the effect and mechanism of compounds that replenish kidney and strengthen qi in airway inflammatory diseases such as asthma and COPD.In addition,this review provides overlook of pulmonary common diseases such as the theory that 'Focus on lung while taking kidney into account at the onset,and focus on kidney while taking lung into account at ordinary times' and 'Strengthening lung with the method of replenishing kidney'.
