Abstract:The incidence of cancer is growing rapidly among the individuals aged 60 years and older. In our country, there are more and more cancer patients above 60 years, thus it is very important to realize the efficacy and toxicity of chemotherapy in the older patients. In this article, the author reviewed the literatures and discussed the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the elderly and the common side effects of chemotherapy in the old patients, besides, information regarding the content and importance of CGA are presened. The author gave more information about the efficacy and safety of chemotherapy and also causes of the differences among the variety of researches.
