Clinical Observation on the Effect of Orem Self-Care Theory on Patients after the Carcinoma of Tongue Operation

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Orem self-care theory on patients after the carcinoma of tongue operation.Methods A total of 41 selected patients after the carcinoma of tongue operation were randomly divided into observation group with the usual care add the care of Orem self-care theory(n=23) and control group with the usual care(n=18).To compare the condition of patients about complication and the self care ability on one week after operation in the two groups.Results The observation group had the better effect than the control group in decreasing the complication of patients on one week after operation,which showed statistical significance(P < 0.05).The observation group have the better effect than the control group in raising the self care ability of patients on one week after operation,which showed statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion The effect of Orem self-care theory on patients after the carcinoma of tongue operation have the better effect than the patients with the usual care.
