Factors Influencing the Income of Chinese Female Migrant Labor Force

Abstract:Among the growing population of migrants, women have occupied the half, most of whom age between 15 and 59. Income is an important indicator to show the employment status of female migrant labor force. This article develops four models to analyze factors that have impact on the income of female migrant labor force based on the use of data from 2005 1% National population Survey. Regression results show that these four models preferably explain the differences in income of female migrant labor force.
