Abstract:The structure of exact solution set of multi pantograph delay differential equation is studied and existence and uniqueness of an exact solution is proved. Dirichlet series solutions are coustructed to study the sufficient condition of the asymptotic stability of solution. By using technique that embed pantograph delay differential equation into infinite dimension ordinary differential equation, the conditions to guarantee the dissipation of solution and a numerical method adaptable for parallel computer are obtained.

Abstract:We study the existence of solutions to the following parabolic equation(P){ut−Δpu=λ|x|2|u|q−2u,(x,t)∈Ω×(0,∞),u(x,0)=f(x),x∈Ωu(x,t)=0,(x,t)∈∂Ω×(0,∞) where−Δpu≡−div(|∇u|p−2∇u),1<p<N,0<s≤p,p≤q≤p*(s)=N−aN−pp,Ω is a bounded domain in RN such that 0 ∈ Ω with a C1 boundary ∂Ω, f ≥ 0 satisfying some convenient regularity assumptions. The analysis reveals that the existence of solutions for (P) depends on p, q, s in general, and on the relation between λ and the best constant in the Sobolev-Hardy inequality.

Abstract:Let T be a time scale such that 0,T∈T. By the Schauder fixed-point theorem and the upper and lower solution method, we present some existence criteria of the positive solution of m-point singular p-Laplacian dynamic equation (φp(u△(t)))▽+q(t)f(t,u(t))=0,t∈(0,T)T with boundary conditions u(0)=0,∑i=1m-1ψi(u(ξi))+u△(T)=0,m⩾2, where φp(s)=|s|p-2s with p>1, ψi:R→R is continuous for i=1,2,…,m-1 and nonincreasing if m⩾3,0<ξ1<ξ2<⋯<ξm-2<ξm-1=T. The nonlinear term may be singular in its dependent variable and is allowed to change sign. Our results are new even for the corresponding differential (T=R) and difference equations (T=Z). As an application, an example is given to illustrate our result.

Abstract:This paper deals with the asymptotic stability analysis of theta - methods for multi-pantograph delay differential equation[GRAPHICS]Here lambda, mu(1),mu(2),(...),mu(1), u(0) epsilon C.In recent years stability properties of numerical methods for this kind of equation has been studied by numerous authors. Many papers are concerned with meshes with fixed stepsize. In general the developed techniques give rise to non-ordinary recurrence relation. In this work, instead, we study constrained variable stpesize schemes, suggested by theoretical and computational reasons, which lead to a non-stationary difference equation. A general theorem is presented which can be used to obtain the characterization of the stability regions of theta - methods.

Abstract:This paper considers the quasilinear elliptic equation(1)(lambda) {-Delta (p) u = \u \ (m-1) u + lambda \u \ (q-1)u, x is an element of Omega {u is an element of W-0(1.p)(Omega),where - Delta (p)u = -div(\ delu \ (p-2)delu), and 0 < m < p-1 < q < +infinity, Omega is a bounded domain in R-N (N greater than or equal to 3). A is a positive number. Object is to estimate exactly the magnitute of lambda* such that (1)(lambda) has at least one positive solution if lambda is an element of (0, lambda*) and no positive solutions if lambda > lambda*. Furthermore, (1)(lambda) has at least one positive solution when lambda = lambda* and at least two positive solutions when lambda is an element of (0, lambda*) and q less than or equal to N-p/N-p - 1. Finally, the authors obtain a multiplicity result with positive energy of (1)(lambda) when 0 < m < p-1 < q = N-p/N-p -1.

Abstract:In this paper, a nontrivial solution u is an element of H-1 (R-N) to the autonomous Choquard equation with a local term - Delta u + lambda u = (I-alpha * vertical bar u vertical bar(p)) vertical bar u vertical bar(p-2)u + vertical bar u vertical bar(q-2)u in R-N is obtained, where N >= 3, alpha is an element of (0, N), lambda > 0 is a constant, I-alpha is the Riesz potential, N+alpha/N < p < N+alpha/N-2 and q is an element of (2,2* = 2N/N-2 ). Under some further assumptions on p and q, the regularity and the Poholaev identity of the solution are established, and then it is shown that the obtained solution is a groundstate of mountain pass type. Moreover, the positivity and symmetry of the groundstate are also considered. By using the results obtained for the autonomous equation, a positive groundstate solution for the nonautonomous equation - Delta u + V(x)u = (I-alpha * vertical bar u vertical bar(p)) vertical bar u vertical bar(p-2)u + vertical bar u vertical bar(q-2)u in R-N is also found under some assumptions on V(x). Abstract:In this paper, we consider the multi-point boundary value problem of second-order nonlinear differential equation on a half line, {[ (ϕ_p(u'))'(t)+q(t)f(t,u(t),u'(t))=0, 0<t<∞,; u'(0)=∑_i=1^m-2α_iu(ξ_i), u'(∞)=0. ]. By using a fixed point theorem due to Avery and Peterson, we show the existence of at least three positive solutions with suitable growth conditions imposed on the nonlinear term.

Abstract:The present paper deals with the numerical computation method for a class of p-Laplace equations with multi-point boundary value conditions which are widely applied to many fields (Φ_p(u′))′+f(t,u)=0,t∈(0,1),u′(0)=sum 1 to (m-2)(b_iu′(ξ_i)),u(1)=sum 1 to (m-2)(a_iu(ξ_i)).We constructed a difference scheme for this kind of equations and investigated its error estimate, and also implemented some numerical experiments, which illustrates the validity of the scheme.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence of multiple solutions for second order Sturm–Liouville boundary value problem {−Lu=f(x,u),x∈[0,1]R1(u)=0,R2(u)=0, where Lu=(p(x)u′)′−q(x)u is a Sturm–Liouville operator, R1(u)=αu′(0)−βu(0), R2(u)=γu′(1)+σu(1). The technical approach is fully based on lower and upper solutions and variational methods. The interesting point is that the existence of four solutions and seven solutions is given.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the following singular Monge–Ampère equation(0.1){det⁡D2u=1(Hu)n+k+2u⁎kinΩ⊂⊂Rn,u=0,on∂Ω where k≥0, H<0 are constants and u⁎=x⋅∇u(x)−u(x) is the Legendre transformation of u. Equation (0.1) is related to proper affine hyperspheres. We will show the existence of solutions of (0.1) u∈C∞(Ω)∩C(Ω¯) via regularization method. Using the technique in [10], [12], we also obtain the optimal graph regularity of the solution of (0.1).
