An Empirical Analysis of China's Culture Trade Structure and Trade Competitiveness

Abstract:This paper empirically analyzed the import-export structure of China's international culture trade in the past twelve years nearly, from 1997 to 2008, and calculated the culture total trade and MS, TC, RCA of culture goods trade, culture service trade. The results showed that China's culture trade import-export structure was irrational, culture service trade developed slowly, and trade direction was too concentrated, economical motive action of culture trade was inadequate, and so on. Based on these analyses, some relevant policy recommendations were put forward.
