On Soil Environmental Problems in Mining Area

Abstract:The environment problems in mining area in China are highly concerned. This paper stated some concepts related to soil environment problems in mining area which include ecological damage and environment pollution, analyzed the complexity of eco- logical restoration problems, for example, some belong to typical soil environment discipline problems, and some of the soil envi- ronment problems are resulted from some related discipline problems, which requires the multi-disciplines overlapping on its re- searches. The universal problems about the recognition of influential factors on soil environment problems in mining area, as well as the recognition of the investigation of its main characters are discussed. Finally, it suggests pay more attention to the science of soil restoration in mining area, rather than to the discipline problems of it, integrate the restoration technology of different disciplines and control the soil pollution from the source in mining area, which will be advantageous to the diagnosis of different type of soil envi- ronment problems in mining area in China, as well as to the choice of better ways to restore the production function, the environment function and the ecology function of the reclaimed soils in mining area.
