Abstract:Objective:To study the electrical stimulation motor evoked potentials in cervical spinal cord tumors.Method:Electrical stimulation motor evoked potentials were recorded in 32 cases of cervical spinal cord tumors proved by MRI.Result:The results showed that abnormality rate of MEP was 93 8%,the abnormal patterns mainly consisted of delay of latency and delay of central motor conduction time(CMCT).The changes of MEP were connected with myodynamia and the location of tumors.Conclusions:The change of MEP is more sensitive than clinical change,and can evaluate the damage of the motor function objectively and quantiatively.MEP can be used as an objective criterion of surgical effect, and can predict the recovery of motor function.
