Abstract:Firstly,density function of order statistics is given about Эрланга distribution,calculate related characteristic numbers of the order statistics.Secondly,in the missing data samples unbiased estimation approximate maximum likelihood estimation and confidence interval of parameter are given.In the end,several estimations of the parameter are calculated through an instance,and its superiority is proved.

Abstract:In this paper, the variability of order statistics from heterogeneous random samples is studied. It is shown that, without any restriction on the parameters, the variability of order statistics from heterogeneous exponential samples is always larger than that from homogeneous exponential samples in the sense of Lorenz ordering. Finally, some applications to reliability analysis and auction theory are pointed out.

Abstract:Ordering properties on order statistics from heterogeneous observations have been paid lots of attention. This article devotes to investigating the ordering properties on order statistics from statistically dependent observations. We build the likelihood ratio order and the (reversed) hazard rate order of the extremal values and their adjacent order statistics. Also, some applications of our comparison results in TTE model and its dual version, auction theory and k-out-of-n reliability systems are presented.

Abstract:Firstly,when taking Jeffreys prior distribution ,estimation of the parameter was obtained under type-II doubly censored samples on Эрлангаdistribution.secondly,Bayesian point estimation of the parameter were given in the square loss loss and entropy loss function and symmetric entropy ,respectively.Then,Bayesian confidence interval of the parameter was obtained according to the posterior distribution .Finally,point estimation and interval estimation of the parameter were given by means of practical example under different censored samples , and correlation between estimation and the number of truncated was illustrated .

Abstract:In this article, necessary conditions for comparing order statistics from distributions with regularly varying tails are discussed in terms of various stochastic orders. A necessary and sufficient condition for stochastically comparing tail behaviors of order statistics is derived. The main results generalize and recover some results in Kleiber (2002, 2004). Extensions to coherent systems are mentioned as well.

Abstract:In this article, we study the order statistics from heterogenous negative binomial random variables. Sufficient conditions are provided for comparing the extreme order statistics according to the usual stochastic order. For the special case of geometric distribution, a sufficient condition is established for comparing order statistics in the sense of multivariate stochastic order. Applications in the Poisson–Gamma shock model and redundant systems have been described as well.

Abstract:Эрлангаdistribution plays an important role in equipment repair theory.Firstly,in this paper,maximum likelihood estimation of the parameter is given under full sample on this kind of distribution.Because the performance of parameter Bayesian estimation is associated with loss function,we give the Bayesian estimation of the parameter,such as 2n/(2∑ni=1ti+λ)etc under Entropy、Linex、Quadratic、Square and Balanced loss functions,and prove that the estimates we have derived are admissible.Compares mean square errors and deviation from the true values about several estimations.Bayesian estimation ofθis better under entropy loss and balanced loss function.Finally,the values about several estimations are calculated and analyzed through an example;little difference is shown in this estimation.

Abstract:The purpose of this article is to present several equivalent characterizations of comparing the largest-order statistics and sample ranges of two sets of n independent exponential random variables with respect to different stochastic orders, where the random variables in one set are heterogeneous and the random variables in the other set are identically distributed. The main results complement and extend several known results in the literature. The geometric distribution can be regarded as the discrete counterpart of the exponential distribution. We also study the orderings of the largest-order statistics from geometric random variables and point out similarities and differences between orderings of the largest-order statistics from geometric variables and from exponential variables.

Abstract:The sub-linear expectation space is a nonlinear expectation space having advantages of modeling the uncertainty of probability and distribution. In the sub-linear expectation space, we use capacity and sub-linear expectation to replace probability and expectation of classical probability theory. In this paper, the method of selecting subsequence is used to prove Marcinkiewicz’s strong law of large numbers under sub-linear expectation space. This result is a natural extension of the classical Marcinkiewicz’s strong law of large numbers to the case where the expectation is nonlinear. In addition, this paper also gives a theorem about convergence of a random series.

The results are related to the convergence rates of the law of the logarithm and the Chung type law of the logarithm.

Abstract:The maximum likelihood estimate of mean ratio k of Э рлангаdistribution was given for the case of constant tail-truncation.Simulated moment estimate of mean ratio k was obtained by using the concept of average remaining life.Empirical Bayes estimate interval estimate and hypothetical test of mean ratio k were given after the conjugate prior distribution was taken.The point estimate and interval estimate of mean ratio k were given for different tail-truncated samples by means of practical example.

Abstract:The Ewens-Pitman model refers to a distribution for random partitions of $[n]=\{1,\ldots,n\}$, which is indexed by a pair of parameters $\alpha \in [0,1)$ and $\theta>-\alpha$, with $\alpha=0$ corresponding to the Ewens model in population genetics. The large $n$ asymptotic properties of the Ewens-Pitman model have been the subject of numerous studies, with the focus being on the number $K_{n}$ of partition sets and the number $K_{r,n}$ of partition subsets of size $r$, for $r=1,\ldots,n$. While for $\alpha=0$ asymptotic results have been obtained in terms of almost-sure convergence and Gaussian fluctuations, for $\alpha\in(0,1)$ only almost-sure convergences are available, with the proof for $K_{r,n}$ being given only as a sketch. In this paper, we make use of martingales to develop a unified and comprehensive treatment of the large $n$ asymptotic behaviours of $K_{n}$ and $K_{r,n}$ for $\alpha\in(0,1)$, providing alternative, and rigorous, proofs of the almost-sure convergences of $K_{n}$ and $K_{r,n}$, and covering the gap of Gaussian fluctuations. We also obtain new laws of the iterated logarithm for $K_{n}$ and $K_{r,n}$.

On Random Graph Properties

Abstract:We consider 15 properties of labeled random graphs that are of interest in the graph-theoretical and the graph mining literature, such as clustering coefficients, centrality measures, spectral radius, degree assortativity, treedepth, treewidth, etc. We analyze relationships and correlations between these properties. Whereas for graphs on a small number of vertices we can exactly compute the average values and range for each property of interest, this becomes infeasible for larger graphs. We show that graphs generated by the \ErdosRenyi graph generator with $p = 1/2$ model well the underlying space of all labeled graphs with a fixed number of vertices. The later observation allows us to analyze properties and correlations between these properties for larger graphs. We then use linear and non-linear models to predict a given property based on the others and for each property, we find the most predictive subset. We experimentally show that pairs and triples of properties have high predictive power, making it possible to estimate computationally expensive to compute properties with ones for which there are efficient algorithms.
