Abstract:A dictionary acts as the model and guideline to readers as a silent teacher, which should strictly follow the national language standards. It performs an important role for the language standardization. But the bad influence and more misunderstandings caused by the incorrect paraphrases in the dictionary could not be underestimated.”“China Language Word Frequency”, “The First Series of Standardized Forms of Words with Non-standardized Variant Forms”, and new edition of “The script in Simplify Chinese Range”(in 1964), “Basic Rules for Hanyu Pinyin Orthography”, “Transliterating Rules of Chinese Phonetic and Alphabet on Titles for Books and Periodicals in Chinese”,“The script in Simplify Chinese Range”(in 1986) are all the standards for word paraphrase to avoid the errors and misunderstanding. This book is hopefully to draw enough attention from corresponding authorities to change the current status caused by excessive dictionary publications and incorrect paraphrases.
