Abstract:Objective To understand the current situation of medical students' cognition on medical professional qualification and expectation of cultivation.Methods Questionnaires were surveyed in 550 second-year-or-over undergraduates and postgraduates in different majors.The samples were gained by random sampling.Compare the different cognition on the criteria of professional qualification,with the method of counting scores.Results Medical students paid more attention to excellent knowledge and skills,medical ethics belief and professional dedication while less to communication,scientific spirit and humanistic quality.Medical students always evaluate themselves highly on self-expectation and self-assessment of professional quality.Most medical students(45.3% ～50.5%) were satisfied with the ways to cultivate basic speculative knowledge,clinical operations and skills training,while they still hope more publicize of medical professional qualification.Conclusion Medical professional qualification education for medical students is the basis of cultivation of preeminent medical talents.Therefore,only transforming the cognition for medical professional qualification,innovating the cultivation methods and exploring new approaches could bring out preeminent medical talents.
