Abstract:As ritual vessels of the Chinese Bronze Age,bronze ware of Shang and Zhou Dynasties is main research objects of Epigraphy since the Song dynasty,but related to the study on ancient Chinese bronzes patterns has always been poor because of the restraints of traditional history.At the beginning of 20th Century,with the introduction of western archaeology and practice,ancient Chinese bronzes patterns,as also with the inscription as gradually incorporated into the modern academic research field.This article from the perspective of academic history,reviews on problems and differences of the Research on ancient Chinese bronzes patterns for a century.
