Empirical Analysis of Effect of Unbalance and Conglomeration of Logistics Industry in Chang-ji-tu Pilot Development and Open-up Zone

Abstract:In this paper,we analyzed the balance and conglomeration of the development of the logistics industry in the Chang-ji-tu pilot development and open-up zone,and measured quantitatively the level of unbalance among the regions and industries of the zone using the annuals and survey findings of the cities and counties of Jilin.We found that the level of industrial conglomeration within the zone was increasing consistantly;the fact that the logistics industry was mainly concentrated in the few large cities of the pilot zone promoted the formation of the industrial conglomeration with local characteristics and the development level of the cities,yet it also expanded the gap between the larger and smaller cities;and the development of the logistics industry within the Chang-ji-tu pilot zone had become increasingly unbalanced.
