Abstract:The raising of a steel building is introduced,which is newly added on the roof of a 3-story concrete building.The building has an area of 16000m2.It is introduced the design of the raising scheme,and the measures of insuring the stability of the structure during the upraising process.The successful implementation of the scheme demonstrates the feasibility of the techniques used in this project.And it is also very economic.

Abstract:It is researched that the forced features of the joints of the multi-story spanned diagonal bracing system for Chengda Tower in Chengdu.Based on the results of overall structural analysis under various load cases,sectional forces in members,beams,columns and adjacent braces,relating to a certain joint are recorded. Typical joints are then modeled in details for the stress analysis using shell elements.According to the finite element analysis,several measures for joint design are proposed.Subsequent FE analysis indicates that strengthening techniques proposed in this study are feasible and efficient.
Study on design of binate diagonal mega-bracing system for a high-rise steel building

Abstract:The structural system and its characteristics of a high-rise steel building are introduced.The building adopted a binate diagonal mega-bracing system in which two pieces of vertical trusses are in one vertical plane,between them there are one or three spans in which no bracing members are used.Analysis results revealed that this system may carry gravitational loads,and the beams at the bracing joints carry large axial forces which need to be taken care of in the design.Under earthquake action,the unbraced spans take the role of energy-dissipating members as in the EBF(Ecentricity bracing frame) system with long link beams.The beams in the unbraced spans need to design with reference to the requirements on EBF.Other design details are also provided.

Abstract:The Shanghai Tower,which has an architectural height of 632 m,is the most representative tall building design model in China.The super high-rise buildings in the process of construction and operation involves land saving,material saving,energy saving,emission reduction and other aspects of issues.Therefore,it is necessary to introduce the green building design concept to reduce unnecessary energy consumption in the construction process.Based on the green building evaluation standard and index,focusing on the aspects of design technology of large diameter deep foundation pit and foundation in complex environment,aerodynamic based wind resistant design technology,design technology of magnetic eddy current TMD etc.,this paper introduces the idea of green building in the Shanghai Tower project.Through the comprehensive use of related technologies,many technical problems have been solved,resulting in enormous social and economic benefits.The successful construction of the Shanghai Tower project fully embodies the 'applicable,economic,green,artistic'developmental ideology.The related technical achievements have important reference values for other high-rise building green design.

Abstract:Abstract Lanzhou·Famous City Plaza Project There are two internal climbing boom tower cranes in the core tube of 1# building. From the 50th floor, the thickness of shear wall is reduced to 200mm, and the design wall thickness and reinforcement can not meet the stress requirements of boom tower cranes. Through the finite element analysis software ANSYS simulation analysis, the core tube shear wall and coupling beam are strengthened, the reinforcement is increased, and the concrete strength grade is improved. At the same time, the steel beam of the boom tower crane is reinforced to reduce the load borne by the shear wall, and then the seamless steel pipe and jack are used to push back the load of the steel beam from the bottom, which solves the problem of insufficient bearing capacity of the ultra-thin shear wall to the boom tower crane, makes the boom tower crane work normally, and ensures the construction safety and the construction period.

Abstract:Super high-rise building is a typical architectural form of urban modernization, and it is also the trend of urban architectural development. This paper reviews the development history of super high-rise buildings in China combined with the engineering practice of representative super high-rise buildings since the 1980s, such as the Shanghai Center, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Canton Tower, and Shanghai Tower. The development process of the key technologies of super high-rise projects from the aspects of several technologies, such as soft soil pile foundation and foundation pit technology, concrete structure construction technology, integral formwork equipment technology, and steel structure comprehensive installation technology, is also elaborated. At the same time, the Shanghai Tower is selected as a typical case to share the innovative technology of China’s tallest building. Finally, prospects for development of super high-rise construction technology are presented.

Abstract:With the continuous development of the Chinese economy and the rapid development of large public buildings, the application of steel structures in large buildings is gradually increasing. The use of steel structures is crucial for meeting the needs of large-span, super high-rise buildings, rapid construction, and achieving sustainable development of buildings. Therefore, studying and analyzing the construction technology of large-scale building steel structures has important practical significance. This study is based on a library construction project, focusing on the installation of embedded bolts, steel columns, steel beams, and high-strength bolts in the construction of large building steel structures, as well as the technical schemes and construction processes of welding, anti-corrosion coatings, and fireproof coatings. I hope to provide reference and suggestions for actual construction.

Abstract:As a high-rise structure,Guangzhou West Tower is composed of a concrete core tube and a special exterior frame which consists of inclining concrete-filled columns.Based on structural characteristic of the inner concrete core, self-lifting technology of a steel platform design for construction of concrete core tube was employed and introduced in this paper.Overall stability behavior of the steel platform was analyzed during lifting process and different construction state.

Abstract:In recent years, with the continuous development of urbanization in China, construction equipment and technology in the field of building are developing rapidly. China has made much progress in this field, but there is also a gap in comparison. Rapid growth needs to follow the appropriate direction of development. In the future, China will further accelerate the speed of urban intensive construction, so it is of great significance to find a correct direction for the development of Chinese cities. Based on this purpose, this paper summarizes the current situation and rules of building equipment and technology in the view of the rapid development of modern architecture and related practical achievements. This article further analyses the building technology and equipment from the aspects of social culture, political economy, laws and regulations, and discipline development. The conclusion is that in the future development of buildings, the energy saving of construction equipment and technology will become an important symbol of construction technology progress. Finally, this paper puts forward the problems existing in the development of construction equipment and technology in China and the ways to solve these problems.

Engineering Application of Ultra-High Strength Steel Structures

Abstract:In order to study the feasibility of applying ultra-high strength steels to steel structure projects in China,this paper introduces the grades,mechanical properties and chemical compositions of ultra-high strength steels in detail.The sectional residual stress and initial geometric imperfection of ultra-high strength steel structural members and their influences on the overall buckling behaviour of ultra-high strength steel members under axial compression have been analyzed.It can be concluded that ultra-high strength steel columns under axial compression can adopt a higher buckling reduction factor so as to increase the overall buckling resistance,which will exploit the advantage of ultra-high strength steels better.Both the details of the engineering application of ultra-high strength steels in many domestic and overseas building structures and bridges and the excellent results obtained have been presented,which provides a reference for the application of ultra-high strength steels in our country.

Abstract:With the capacity of steel production in China continuing to be the top of the world,steel structures are used more and more widely in buildings.Especially in large public buildings,lots of complex steel structures come forth.They challenge construction mechanics and control technologies in many aspects,particularly in development of 3-D dynamic pre-set construction deformation technique,informational application of integrated lifting,dismantling,pulling,slipping,tension technique,realization of full-life-oriented structural design,control criteria of construction deviation,influence of construction environment temperature,welding deformation and concrete's shrinkage-creep and so on.These problems have to be solved by integrated cooperative time-variation analysis system involved in space domain.Taking typical large complex steel structures home and abroad as examples,the authors point out theories and methods of integrated cooperative time-variation analysis system to solve problems above and introduces the new algorithm and FE element,which can provide reference for further construction analysis of projects.

Abstract:This paper pointed out many mechanical problems encountered during the construction process for a large and complex steel structure,and their solving methods were outlined and discussed.For the new CCTV headquarters,the deformations produced due to the inclined towers and cantilevered structure system during the construction process were analyzed and traced according to the specified construction approach and sequence,and they have been used as guidelines for the steel structure erection and construction,as well as for glass curtain wall design and erection.
