Grid Society: A System View of Grid and P2P Environment

Abstract:Grid and P2P are both emerging technologies that aim at efficient resource sharing in recent years (1, 2). The research works in these two fields were independent with each other at the beginning, but now more and more researchers realize that they be studied together (3). In this article we give a comprehensive review on the history of Grid and P2P, followed by a system view of the coexist environment of them. We explore the concept of "Grid Society" and find great similarity between Grid Society and Human Society. With support of Similarity System Theory (4), we also take efforts to prove these two systems are Similarity Systems. We pointed out that to some extent methods can be migrated form Human Society into Grid Society. Finally, we give some examples of such
