Constructive Evaluation:a New Approach to Faculty Career Development

Abstract:The constructive evaluation of faculty emphasizes the evaluators and evaluatees' psychological co-construction.Both parties in the evaluation can reach a consensus by negotiations,which can provide timely feedbacks for the evaluatees on their career development.However,the constructive evaluation is not all conducive to the professional development of teachers.To maximize its advantages,we should improve the implementing environment such as institutional setup,personnel resource and technical support.
