Comparative Research into Main Economic Indexes Between Sichuan and Chongqing

Abstract:Recently, Sichuan and Chongqing have better trend in China's economic development but the total development condition of Chongqing after becoming the municipality directly under the central government is better than Sichuan. The economic development of Sichuan and Chongqing has different characteristics. The total quantity of economic indexes of Sichuan is better than Chongqing but per capita economic indexes of Chongqing is better than Sichuan. Many economic indexes of Sichuan and Chongqing reach one third proportion in western areas but only amount to about six percent of China, meanwhile, the import and export of Sichuan and Chongqing kg behind. Sichuan and Chongqing should enhance cooperation and support each other in order to change the disadvantages into advantages by cooperating and to make advantages more advanced by cooperating.
