Abstract:Objective:To study the security and effectiveness of drug-eluting stents in the emergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Metheds:From January 2007 to December 2007,220 patients with acute myocardial infarction were treated in our CCU unit,200 cases of them treated by emergency PCI were included into study,Emergency PCI treated target lesions with drug-eluting stents only, the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE),restenosis, stent thrombosis were evaluated.Results:200 patients were successfully treated by emergency PCI in the infarct related artery with drug-eluting stents. The stents were implanted with 1.41 ± 0.711 per patient. There was no serious complication during the procedure.During the hospital, there was 3 cardiac death cases and 2 non-cardiac death cases,no recurrent myocardial infarction,no stent thrombosis.During clinical follow-up 5-15 months(mean 7.3±1.9) quantitative coronary angiographies were obtained 136 cases,The incidence of main cardiac events was low, mortality is 2.66%,and recurrent myocardial infarction was only one case, the incidence of target vessel revascularization was 3.19%.Conclusion:Drug-eluting stents in patients with acute myocardial infarction treated by emergency PCI is safe and feasible, and follow-up during in hospital or 7 months,Therapeutic effects with drug-diluting stents were significant, and the incidence of target vessel restenosis is very low.
