Abstract:On the basis of analyzing the relations between “Wenzhou culture” and its economic boom, the article further studies the effects of regional culture on economic growth. Here culture is defined as a purely subjective concept. The study shows that “Wenzhou culture” plays a key role in its economic boom, but regional economic growth can be prompted by its culture only when it is in coordination with institutional environment. Otherwise the positive effects of culture on economy will be “locked”. Unconstrained culture may distort economy and thus needs governmental regulation.

Abstract:Nonparametric and quantitative estimation of the spatial correlations between the 31 provinces in China was made based on the data of annual per capita GDP growth rates from 1978 to 2008 by SG method which considers the effect of both time and space,overcoming the shortcoming of mere qualitative description in the past.The rationality of this method has been proven compared with sample correlation.The empirical results show that there is a long-term,significantly positive correlation between economic developments,and this trend exhibits a slight weakening characteristic after a high degree of concentration with the progression of time.It also verifies the existence of spatial heterogeneity.Finally,cluster analysis was conducted based on the SG correlations between the provinces.

Abstract:The paper uses the data obtained from 10 villages in Gansu province to compare the characteristics and the tendency between two generations of migrant laborers.The result indicates that the mobility of rural labor in China has entered into a new stage,and the second generation who are born in the reform and opening time is becoming the major component.Their opinions,reasons,behavior for migration,and expectation for life have changed greatly.These changes will have profound influences on China's socio-economic development.

Abstract:The relation between urbanization quality and the process of urbanization was very intense.Based on the definition of urbanization quality connotation,this paper built a quality measure of urbanization index system,using the entropy weight method to measure the urbanization quality of 87 counties in Gansu Province from 2001 to 2012.Regard ArcGIS 9.3and Geo da as the platform analyzed the time and space evolution pattern of urbanization quality and visual presentation.The results showed that the quality of urbanization in Gansu Province was lower overall and the difference was significant.Also,the polarization agglomeration phenomenon was the main reason of difference of urbanization quality.It was stably that urbanization quality was basic pattern,but the urbanization quality of Longdong area grew rapidly.The imbalance trend of low level urbanization quality was intensified and spatial pattern of urbanization quality rangedthree point three areafrom point five area.

Abstract:Guizhou culture has traditionally attracted many different opinions.This paper first defines the connotation of Guizhou culture and then analyzes the influencing factors of Guizhou culture based on historical facts.The paper argues that geographical and economic factors influence Guizhou culture.According to the analysis, it is concluded that Guizhou's culture consists of ethnic culture and mountain culture.The ethnic culture mixes orderly and harmoniously, while the mountain culture forms unique systems simply and naturally.

Abstract:This paper sets up 5 Census database in 1953,1964,1983,1990,2000 based on GIS. The population gravity centers of main nationalities were calculated using gravity model in 1953, 1964,1983,1990,2000. Then, the characteristics and the influence factors of the moving of the minority population are analyzed. Study results show that population gravity center move to capitals are obvious. The move velocities of minorities' population gravity centers are slowdown, while the move velocities of HAN is Accelerated. Movement distances of east-west direction are generally greater than that of the north-south direction. The population gravity center are continued moving to southeast all the while. Finally, the factors of Natural conditions, Economic development, Policies as the mainly reasons were discussed.

Abstract:This paper intends to discuss economic development disparities by taking the counties of Gansu as a research object,based on the per capital GDP and other relative economic index in Gansu,this paper calculates the general score of county economic level by using SPSS,and analyzes the time-space disparities of county economic level in Gansu by means of ARCGIS 9.2 and GeoDA.Based on study on evolution of economic development disparities,this paper draws some conclusions as follows.The overall level of economic development is fairly backward and the economic development disparities expand largely.The economic development trend is west and north areas are more developed than the east and south areas.From 1999 to 2008,the center of per capita GDP locates in Sunan and moves to the northwest.Spatial aggregate characteristics is obvious,the economic developed region locates in Hexi.Accord to the general score of county economic level,the county in Gansu can be divided into four types: economic developed region,the comparatively developed area,the undeveloped region and under-development area.From 1999 to 2008,per capital GDP average growth and Nich indicates that the development in Hexi region is faster than others.

Abstract:Using the fifth and sixth census data,this paper explored the regional characteristics and its influential factors of the development of China’s cultural industry.The dynamic calculations and statistical analysis of the cultural industry employment show that,since the beginning of the new century,the development of China’s cultural industry has been significantly imbalance,mainly reflected as inter-industry unbalanced development and spatial distribution imbalance.Meanwhile,the statistics inspections show that the quality of life,openness,the population density and locational conditions are all important influencing factors of the regional characteristics.In addition,the major factors affecting the development of traditional and emerging cultural industry are different.This paper argues that,to promote the development of cultural industry,we should focus on optimizing the quality of urban life and enhancing the openness and form totally causal cycle effect by utilizing the urbanization and localization economy.

Abstract:This paper intends to discuss economic development disparities by taking 86 counties of Gansu Province as research objects based on the per capita GDP and other relative economic index in Gansu,and calculates the general score of county economic level by SPSS,and analyzes the space disparities of county economic level in Gansu by means of GIS spatial analysis provided by ARCGIS and GeoDA.Based on study on the economic development disparities,this paper draws some conclusions as follows:Accord to the general score of region economic level,the county administrative units in Gansu can be divided into four types: economic developed region,the comparatively developed area,the undeveloped region and under-development area.It is obvious to notice the spatial aggregation within research objects,and the economic developed region locates in Lanzhou and Hexi region.Using spatial econometric models and analyzing the reasons of regional economic disparities.In order to reduce the regional economic disparities,we should increase investment and adjust industrial structure.

Study on the Generational Differences in the Employment of Migrant Workers:Based on the Employment Survey of Migrant Workers from Zhejiang in Hangzhou City

Abstract:Based on the employment surveys migrant workers from Zhejiang in Hangzhou City,the paper analyzed the generational differences in the employment of migrant workers.First of all,descriptive statistics on the individual characteristics,socio-economic characteristics,and employment status of two generations of migrant workers were conducted;then followed by F test,T test,and range test on the independent samples to verify the existence of significant differences in two generations of peasant workers in wages and benefits,occupation,expected future employment.Quality-related analysis was conducted to verify whether the age difference of migrant workers influences the purpose of motivation,employment channels,the most important employment difficulties encountered.The results showed that there are significant differences between two generations of migrant workers in wages,multiple occupation,and work experience;and there are significant differences between two generations of migrant workers in the motive and purpose of flow and the employment channels.

Abstract:Being a unique local cultural form derived from The Epic Gesar (human intangible cultural heritage),the Gesar culture remains primarily in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China.Due to its historical value,studying the classification,spatial distribution and contribution factors of Gesar culture is of great significance to explore the relationship between man and environment in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and protecting the Gesar human intangible cultural heritage.Guoluo,which boasts the richest Gesar cultural resources in China,is taken as a case in this study.Based on the definition and classification of Gesar cultural resources,this article examined the relationship between the spatial distribution characteristics of Gesar cultural resources and the physical geography factors (including elevation,water source,slope,aspect,and accessibility) in Guoluo.Subsequently,the influencing mechanisms of the above factors on the spatial distribution of cultural resources were further discussed.It was concluded that,(1) Gesar cultural resources can be divided into 4 categories,11 sub-categories,and 60 small categories;(2) the distribution of Gesar cultural resources,especially the inheritors type,presented a pattern of cluster;the most concentrated spaces for 3 Gesar cultural resources types were identified;(3) the spatial distribution of Gesar cultural resources is closely related to the physical geography conditions.Specifically,most of them were concentrated in the proximity of water source with relatively low altitude.Moreover,the three types of Gesar cultural resources have been affected by different factors including slope,aspect,and accessibility.

Abstract:By analyzing the features of residents' cultural consumption in Anhui province,the factors affecting their cultural consumption are summarized as the following: the residents' limited income and the shortage of cultural products,insufficient government cultural qualities and the shortage of cultural consumption consciousness.Therefore,the province should vigorously develop the performing market and cultural resources,and build cultural industry chain.The government should also put emphasis on primary-level cultural undertakings and find out the "innovative spot" to accelerate the development of cultural industry in Anhui and make it an increasing part in the province's economic growth.

Abstract:Adopting the method of metrological economics,the paper carries out the coordination-integration test, error correction model(ECM)analysis and Granger cause-effect test on two time-sequential data concerning gross regional product(GRP)and fixed assets investment of Gansu Province from 1993 to 2006.The model analysis indicates that the fixed assets investment considerably accelerate the economic growth,but there exists neither a long-term coordination-integration relationship nor a two-way causality,so the present author puts forward three countermeasures accordingly.

Abstract:According to the data from the National Statistical Department, the marriage rate in Gansu province of China showed a general downward trend in the period from 2010 to 2020. In recent years, with the development of the economy, both urban and rural areas in Gansu have made great progress in various aspects, but the official survey data shows that the level of economic development and living standards are not positively correlated with the marriage rate in Gansu. This may caused by the marriage and love view of youth. These years. Thanks to the rapid development of Chinas economy, the fertility rate in Gansu has declined. This research speculates that this may be due to the new ideas brought by economic development, which have caused some changes in their views on marriage and love. In this paper will study how views on marriage and love affect the marriage rate based on a questionnaire survey. Because most of the existing studies are conducted in economically developed coastal or southern cities, and places like Gansu in the central and western regions are less concerned, this paper decided to take Gansu as an example to explore.
Quantifying the Competitiveness of Cultural Industry and Its Impacts on Chinese Economic Growth

Abstract:One potential way to promote China’s economic growth is to develop a cultural industry and enhance its competitiveness. To confirm this hypothesis, this study first utilizes the five-element diamond model, principal component analysis, and factor analysis to evaluate the competitiveness of the cultural industry in the 31 Chinese provinces during the period 2013–2019. The results reveal that the competitiveness of cultural industry in the eastern region is the strongest, followed in descending order by the central, northeastern, and western regions of China. Then, the panel regression is employed to explore the impact of the cultural industry’s competitiveness index on economic growth. The results indicate that the cultural industry’s competitiveness is positively associated with China’s economic growth. We also conduct another panel regression analysis by examining the impact of cultural industry factors on China’s economic growth to gain insight into the influence of the cultural industry components on growth. In this analysis, our results indicate that cultural industry factors, including fixed asset investment and labor, significantly play an important role in Chinese growth. This study also finds that total patent applications, the total profit of cultural enterprises, and government expenditure positively impact economic growth, but the evidence is weak. Thus, these three variables could be considered potential future driver factors. The empirical findings offer insights into strategies that the national government could implement to strengthen the cultural industry’s competitiveness as China’s new powerful driver of economic development. Compared with previous empirical studies, this research deepens the competitive cultural analysis, increases the number of observations, and lengthens the period studied.

Abstract:The relationship between social consumption demand factors and the development of Chinese culture industry is analyzed based on the theory of industrial structure. The result indicates that average disposable income of urban residents and Engel coefficient of rural households are related to culture industry very significantly and that the contribution of culture industry to GDP needs to be improved. Three countermeasures are proposed to promote the development of culture industry from two angles, including improving average disposable income of urban residents to increase their consumption ability, reducing Engel coefficient of rural households to improve the quality of life and promoting the construction of public cultural service system.
Analysis on the economic spaceial gradient based on field theory——A case of Gansu Province

Abstract:With the help of field theory in physics as a research tool,taking the input-output tables in Gansu Province as the main object,by using the production function gradient model and industry relevance gradient field model,we quantitatively analyzed the position,function and dynamic changes of industries in economic space and predicted the future status,role and changes of the industries in the industrial space in Gansu Province.The results showed that:(1)As to the three industry production gradients in recent 20 years,the primary industry fluctuated and showed a obvious uplift;The secondary industry changed a little,basically increased year by year,and its' change rate got much bigger;The tertiary industry changed smoothly,but there was a fluctuation in the prior period.(2)As to the industrial correlation gradient field in 2007,the status and role of the secondary industry in the economic space tended to rise,while the primary industry was relatively stable and the tertiary industry declined.(3)Energy and raw material oriented industries within the secondary industry were still superior to others,meanwhile,the status of equipment manufacturing,electronic information industry and light industry increased,while construction industry tended to decline.Through the production function gradient,influence gradient and induction gradient variations we found out the status,function,effect and changes of different industries in economic space in Gansu Province.It is helpful to provide scientific basis of industrial development policy.
