Abstract:Both the basic educational contents for students and study programs for science teachers include several topics in physics and astronomy, from the simplest ones to others as advanced as nuclear fusion to explain stellar evolution and space-time geometry for an approach to modern cosmology. In all these subjects, and most often in the simplest ones, alternative conceptions emerge, as both groups reach science course with preconstructed and consistent models of the universe surrounding them. In this work we present a series of basic questionings that make us reflect on the present situation of the teaching-learning relationship in astronomy within the framework of formal education. We then briefly explain our project aiming at finding the real learning situation of both students and prospective primary-school teachers in astronomical topics and, from the expected results of it, we point towards the need to develop didactic tools that could contribute to improve formal education in astronomy issues.

Abstract:The development of the internet and communication technology has brought about significant changes in the education field, enhancing teaching methods and affecting students' academic performance by wisely substituting traditional teaching approaches. Modern technologies are being utilized to improve the quality of education, and traditional teaching techniques are being updated by incorporating recent technological tools. Traditional teaching methods, such as textbooks and lecturing using boards, often fail to provide students with the expected level of knowledge. Consequently, researchers have developed new inventive teaching techniques for the convenience of students, including slide-based lectures, e-learning, and learning management systems. As a result of these inventive teaching methods, students gain knowledge, which has a positive and efficient effect on their academic performance and achievement. Studies comparing traditional and inventive teaching methods have found that the latter approach is more effective in enhancing students' educational achievement. Therefore, it is suggested that educational investors invest in inventive teaching approaches, and teachers need to implement novel teaching methods in their classrooms to upgrade students' performance and knowledge. To instruct modern-generation students, tutors need to develop an inventive teaching approach. Past analysis has shown that encouraging learners to think creatively can significantly affect their academic performance and creativity. The proposed study aims to present an overview of existing innovative and traditional teaching methods in technical colleges based on popular libraries. The search results are presented in different forms. Based on the current study, researchers will devise research on enhanced teaching methods, improved quality of education, updated traditional teaching techniques, increased convenience for students, improved educational achievement, encourages creativity, access to information, greater investment in education, upgraded performance, and improved learning outcomes.

Abstract:Improving the teaching quality of College Physics Experiment Course can make it conducive to cultivating students' practical ability and innovative thinking ability. In view of the basic teaching requirements for this course, its current curriculum, teaching status and existing problems in domestic colleges and universities are analyzed. Abstract:Abstract Physics application practice is of great significance to the application of Physics and the cultivation of basic scientific research talents. With the continuous improvement of technology value cognition in the basic industry of China, the improvement of manufacturing industry competitiveness and the realization of innovation are inseparable from the participation of physical application technology. However, according to the results of industry research in recent years, the contribution rate of university Physics to society in China is far from expected, and there is still a lot to improve in the teaching of university application technologies and application practice abilities, which should focus on the future teaching. With the continuous exploration of Chinese computer education technology and data-base teaching technology, the teaching methods in colleges and universities have been greatly changed. According to the research, the current rate of online reading habits and communication habits of college students in China is up to about 67.9%. The demands of students’ independent growth and the needs for society comprehensive talents make college Physics undertake more training responsibilities and ability teaching tasks. As an important medium of college teaching, the development and application level of computer-aided system has a certain impact on the teaching effect of college Physics. At present, the CAI system with multimedia courseware as the core couldn’t meet the needs of students’ study. Therefore, it is necessary to design and deal with the CAI System in a more diversified way. Because of its high abstraction, theory and comprehensiveness, the past teaching practice of college Physics is difficult to achieve high results. Therefore, based on the computer aided system, this paper explores the reform direction and feasibility realization mode of applied technology college Physics teaching.

Abstract:The development and innovation of astronomy discipline in universities is one of the significant symbols of national scientific and technological strength. Based upon the Double First-Class initiative program of the Ministry of Education and the evaluation system of five major domestic and foreign disciplines, this paper summarizes some enlightenment for the improvement of the comprehensive competitiveness and international influence of astronomy in China by referring to the overall situation of astronomy discipline in the University of Yale. We should（1） Renew the mechanism for the construction of faculty;（2）Implement the strategy of large and small equipment complementarity;（3） Promote more concrete cooperation;（4） Emphasize the role of academic committee;（5） Enrich and expand external publicity.

Abstract:Despite the negative stereotypes still overshadowing community colleges, scores of freshmen nationwide are deliberately beginning their college careers at these institutions, and the numbers are increasing more than twice as fast as those of four-year schools. Approximately 300,000 of these students take introductory astronomy each year as the last formal exposure to science most of them will ever have, and at least one-third of these students do so at a community or two-year college. The importance of investing in and devoting resources and training to serve this population - everyone, demographically speaking - cannot be overstated. Yet the overwhelming majority of those who do serve this population are lacking in both areas. The community colleges' heavy emphasis on teaching and student success creates both challenges and opportunities that educators must meet head-on using a variety of methods and innovative strategies, teamwork and faculty support systems, and clever workarounds. Here, we introduce both the student and faculty populations, examine some characteristics of both populations, and offer some advice for those looking to teach introductory astronomy at a community college.

Abstract:Recent advances in our understanding of the Universe have revolutionized our view of its structure, composition and evolution. However, these new ideas have not necessarily been used to improve the teaching of introductory astronomy students. In this project, we have conducted research into student understanding of cosmological ideas so as to develop effective web-based tools to teach basic concepts important to modern cosmology. The tools are intended for use at the introductory college level. Our research uses several instruments, including open-ended and multiple choice surveys conducted at multiple institutions, as well as interviews and course artifacts at one institution, to ascertain what students know regarding modern cosmological ideas, what common misunderstandings and misconceptions they entertain, and what sorts of materials can most effectively overcome student difficulties in learning this material. These data are being used to create a suite of interactive, web-based tutorials that address the major ideas in cosmology using real data. Having students engage with real data is a powerful means to help students overcome certain misconceptions. Students master the scientific concepts and reasoning processes that lead to our current understanding of the universe through interactive tasks, prediction and reflection, experimentation, and model building.

Abstract:The observation of space seems to have always caused wonder into people's collective consciousness, generating a series of historical myths. More recently specially with the development of better tools alongside the constant refinement of the scientific method Astronomy has consolidated into increasing field of Physics. Yet, representing such field in an accurate manner for beginner students poses a challenge. Appropriate images and descriptions should be chosen, which proves itself a large part of such challenge. Here we perform a technique named Interdisciplinary Image Reading aimed at trying to minimize the problem by improving and therefore promoting better Astronomy Education.

Abstract:Introductory astronomy is one of the most widely-taken university science courses and a common means of satisfying general education requirements. This course is frequently taught in large sections by a variety of instructors, some with little formal training in astronomy. Thus, instructors often struggle to help students connect with what is typically their last formal science experience. At California State University Fullerton, we have engaged in reform efforts in the teaching of introductory astronomy. We report on the model of reform implementation with several key features that we believe were instrumental in our success. First, our astronomy instructors learned to use research-based curricular materials by attending workshops before and after first implementation. Second, the astronomy instructors collaborated with student Peer Instructors as a team to document and reflect on the implementation progress. Third, the instructional team of faculty and Peer Instructors worked with science education researchers to collect information on common student conceptual difficulties, and develop strategies to address these difficulties using resources in the research and teaching literature. Our findings suggest that this is a fruitful and sustainable model for reform implementation, faculty professional development, and research on the teaching and learning of astronomy.

Abstract:"Computer Organization and Architecture" is one of the most important fundamental courses for those majoring in computer science and engineering. The contents of the curriculum are crucial for entire computer discipline and computer systems. As a result, the curriculum plays an important role in training computer science students. This paper begins with the discussion on principles and goals of the curriculum. Then, it describes teaching philosophy and methods, improvements of contents, along with their effects, for lectures and experiments of the curriculum. Finally we review some experiences from the development and teaching of the curriculum. This paper intends to share experiences in teaching the curriculum with other institutes in China and provide them with a potentially useful instructional model.
