Planning research for river water ecological amelioration in urban area of Xiaoshan District

Abstract:With the rapid development of economy, river water quality has been deteriorating increasingly in urban area of Xiaoshan city. According to the investigation, all rivers water quality, except for Huilong Bridge in Guan village, is lower than V standard of the Environmental Quality Standard for surface water in China. In order to improve river water quality, a new idea defined as classification processing for polluted river water is proposed, and therefore rivers in Xiaoshan are classified into three categories, which are pond-style river, constructed-style river and natural-style river. Subsequently, in term of characteristics of classified river, integrative ways and means for water quality improvement in Xiaoshan, based on ecological engineering and technology, are put forward. It is aim to improve river water quality and recover the river ecological system balance. Meanwhile, these methods not only can be a guidance for specific project practice aftertime, but also provide a experience model for river networks to improve river quality.
