The Necessity and Practice of Implementing "teaching 1, Exercise 2 and Examination 3" Model in University Genetics Teaching

Abstract:" Teaching 1,exercise 2 and examination 3" is a new teaching model,whose essence is "less teaching,more practice,and a wide range of test".The implementation of this model is good for cultivation of modern personnels with the characteristics of " thick foundation,wide caliber,strong ability and high quality".Genetics is the core subject of life science.Application of this principles has a wide range,flexibility,comprehensiveness and openness.Since genetics is a science of fast developing and the genetics course is already equipped with the conditions for this teaching model.Thus,it is essential and feasible to implement this teaching model in university education.Here,we suggest to take the following paractices:choosing appropriate textbook and teaching contents to highlight the key and difficult parts,integrating of humanistic quality education and making full use of online and offline tools to stimulate the learning enthusiasm,appropriately increasing the comprehensiveness and opening of the exercise to train the comprehensive analysis ability,appropriately discussing the progress and hot spots of genetics to develop scientific and technological innovation ability,and implementing diversified and full assessment to evaluate students' comprehensive ability.
