Abstract:Objectives To investigate the relationship between atrial natriurtic factor(ANP) and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone(RAA)system in patients with congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods The plasma levels of angiotensinⅡ(ATⅡ)aldosterone(ALD)and ANP were tested by special radio-immunoassay. Results The plasma levels of ANP,ATⅡ,ALD in group of CHF were significantly higher than in the control group. The plasma levels of ANP,ATⅡ,ALD in group of CHF after therapy were descended and markedly differed from that before therapy(P0.001). ANP were positively correlated with ATⅡ (P0.01)and ALD (P0.05)in CHF. Conclusions The comparative insufficiency of ANP in circulating blood,or the enhancement of RAA system's activity may be one of the pathogenesis of heart failure. Dynamic observation of changes of ATⅡ,ALD,ANP may be very useful in judgement of severity and prognosis of patients with CHF.
