Abstract:Development with the drive of innovation is a major strategy for China′s new period,and postgraduate cultivation plays a very important part in the implementation of the national innovation strategy.For a long time,the training mode of talents in China ignored students′ cultivation of scientific thinking and innovation ability.The cultivation of postgraduates′ innovation ability calls for many improvements in the education,including the reform and optimization of curriculum system and training system,a lively atmosphere of innovation,the high level tutor team,and the science and technology innovation platform for graduate students.These measures are significant in the implementation of innovation-driven strategy and improvement of the graduate students′ innovation ability in China.

Abstract:The new round of scientific and technological revolution is changing the production and life of human beings in an all-around way, and it also puts forward new demands for cultivating students in colleges and universities. The traditional cultivation mode of engineering postgraduates needs to pay more attention to scientific literacy and innovation ability to adapt to the new situation’s social development and enterprise requirements. Therefore, it is imperative to reform the cultivation mode of engineering postgraduates. This paper uses questionnaires to investigate engineering postgraduates in more than 40 colleges and universities in China. Then the shortcomings in the cultivation program, innovative consciousness, and teaching methods are summarized and analyzed. The combined measurements are put forward about the diversified cultivation methods, tamping the foundation teaching and highlighting the innovative, practical ability. Based on STEM education theory, the suggestions from three levels of government, universities, and students are proposed to strengthen the interdisciplinary integration in cultivating engineering postgraduates.

Abstract:Strengthening the cultivation of innovation ability of doctoral students is to meet the need of boosting national high-tech knowledge competitiveness, and is an issue of urgency in contemporary era. Regarding improving the innovation ability of doctoral students, the traditional doctoral training model faces the challenge of urgent reform. On the basis of discussing and emphasizing the importance of innovative doctoral training and the scientific definition of doctoral innovation ability, the article analyzes and centers on the three major components of innovation ability of doctoral students: "the sensitivity to discover and propose problems with academic innovation and breakthrough value（the ability to discover new problems）; the ability to grasp the essence of problems at a higher level and accurately condense the elements and grasp the organic connection between them（the ability to grasp new problems）; and the knowledge and ability structure to use multidisciplinary theories and research methods to overcome problems unconventionally（the ability to solve new problems）.In view of the fact that the cultivation of innovative ability must be the value pursuit of doctoral training, the article proposes the reform of doctoral training mode based on the purpose of improving innovative ability, the problem of doctoral training goal and its adjustment, the problem of doctoral knowledge system（curriculum structure） and its reconstruction, as well as the problem of other elements such as admission, training process, system and dissertation and their reform.

Abstract:Graduate education under the background of double first-class is one of the important contents of Chinese higher education research. The cultivation of innovative ability of postgraduates is an important aspect in postgraduate education. Different from the previous methods of cultivating individual innovation ability, a group innovation ability training method based on the Synectics Method was proposed, and a studio for undergraduates, masters and doctorates was established. Through specific case analysis, it was shown that the proposed group innovation training method is feasible and efficient.

Abstract:Innovation ability of scientific research is an important part of postgraduate education. Base on a sample of Fatigue and Fracture Laboratory research group in Beihang University, a cultivation mode for innovation ability of postgraduate is explored from three aspects: practice ability of scientific research, innovative consciousness and ability, and international perspective. The first one is the basis of creative ability. In this stage, the emphasis is put on building knowledge system of postgraduate courses, establishing a professional skill training database and information database, literacy-library and research skills training database, carrying out regular lectures of teachers, carrying out regular research progression report and writing skill training of postgraduate. The second one is essential for innovation ability training. Through cultivation location analysis for each postgraduate, individual training scheme is adopted and individualized tutor group is set up. The postgraduate joined the research team could deeply involve in scientific research. And thus the creative consciousness is trained through practical research process. The third one is the key to elevate the innovative ability. To broaden the view of postgraduate, international windows of scientific re searches were established. At the same time, the English reading/writing skills and international exchange and cooperation skills of postgraduates are also attached importance to. Integration of the three aspects forms a postgraduate training system of scientific research and innovation ability.

Abstract:For undergraduates, improving practical ability is the basic approach to develop innovation spirit and innovation ability, which is the basic capacity and diathesis to adapt future work and scientific research life rapidly. A multi-gradient and multi-level pattern of practical teaching was proposed that principle investigators indicated young teachers indirectly to instruct students. Tutors and students themselves attended practical teaching and presentation practicing in different levels optionally, gradually and systematically, thus both the ability of practice and the ability to analyze and solve the problems were enhanced. The results provided scientific basis to improve the practical ability of undergraduates majoring in applied chemistry.

Abstract:Innovation based on science and technology is one of the important national strategies. This paper analyzes the problems of the current graduate students of computer science and technology in China, and proposes a new mode of the cultivation of graduate students’ innovation ability under the background of science and education integration, including the mode of diversified cultivation, gradient and hierarchical training plan and the multiple ways of cultivating the innovative ability of graduate students by case practice, research project training and engineering practice. This new mode studied through research analysis, exploratory practice and comparative methods can improve the innovation ability of graduates to meet the needs of modern information industry and high-tech development. Simultaneously, it can also realize the critical innovation to promote scientific and technological development and cultivate professionals in various technical fields.

Abstract:Cultivating innovative ability for engineering postgraduates is a big challenge of college education. This paper proposes an optimized postgraduate training pattern based on four aspects: course system, teaching mode, practice and thesis level.
